That audio tape is hilarious as is the improvements that they have decided on. In future the VAR will confirm with assistant VAR what the decision was that they are actually ruling on before they announce the results of the check. Makes you think that they are not really watching the game properly in real time.
Isaid on our board I’ll sort var for them. Will take me 2 minutes and will invoice them a poultry 100knfor it. Ref says to var I’ve given offside no goal. Or I’ve given onside and a goal. Var checks it var says - I’ve checked and he is onside you can give a goal. Or I’ve checked and he’s offside no goal. ref says - to confirm, he’s offside and no goal? var - confirmed Job done.
But it would actually be. Ref: VAR can you please check to see if he is offside. VAR: He’s offside but it’s (insert top six club here) so he’s actually onside. Ref: So you’re happy for the goal to stand. VAR: Yes because it’s (insert top six club here). Ref: Brilliant.
And now Klopp wants the game replayed, so do all the other games where the wrong decision has been made have to be replayed too......
Yeah, that was my thought too. ****e procedurally, they were all over the ****in place. All they have to do is clearly repeat what is being checked and then the outcome.
I never thought it was actually possible to hate that **** any more than I did somehow he’s managed to elevate himself to a new level of ****yness! Isn’t he one of the perennial moaning ****bags constantly whinging about having too many games to play and ****? Whilst it would set a very dangerous precedent to replay it (and I’d be stunned if the PL agreed to it) I’d ****ing love to see them agree to it, exact same team (injuries permitting of course) and Jones and Jota get sent off on 26 and 69 mins again just like the original game and see what he says to that! That would actually be quite hilarious. Oh and make it a 12pm kick off on a sat after they’ve played in Europe the Thursday before!
