All the TWS that helped us fill the ground against them must be turning up again. Very good of them

No I wouldn’t, I want us to win every game. Zero fun getting spanked by the prem big boys every week

    Fair enough I suppose.

Sometimes there's no gain for no pain though.

If you win every game in the Championship, you get promoted anyway!

I can think of at least 170,000,000 reasons why promotion is a good thing.

Although there's no fun in getting spanked every week, what I find most off putting about the Premier League is the bias the officials have toward the bigger clubs (especially when EVERYONE is bigger). If it was an even playing field it would make it more palatable. However, I understand for the future of the club it's probably the best thing.

And every penny goes on player wages as it did the last time, I’m not convinced it helps the club in the long term

Depends how you spend it I guess.

Hopefully we won't have Ehab overpaying for average players if we're in that position again.

    It's clearly helped some clubs

Yes, but nobody forced us to spend all the money on players, we could have just taken 5% of the money that Premier League promotion brings and spent it on a new training facility, as Burnley did.

If you were to make up the players wages to PL levels they might do a deal with you! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

If Delap gets carded on Saturday, he’ll be suspended for the following game.

I don't see the point of getting excited about league games if you don't want to go up.

I'd take promotion every time. There's always a chance we'll get it right at some point. Look at Leicester.

I would happily take 3rd every season.
Perfect scenario would finish top every season but decline to go up, but I don’t think that’s possible

How do you get excited about games? I can't get my head around it!

I just think, even a miserable PL season gives excitement - different teams - bigger aspirations - maybe a cup run - a shock result on the way.

There'd be no point in the game for me if there's nothing to win or aspire to

I really enjoyed our last Premier League season, despite the stupidity of the owners at the time. The first half featured two wins out of two, a great run in the League Cup and hanging on in several league games thanks to Snodgrass’s goals. The second half was a feat of miracle working by Marco Silva, we very nearly survived.

2009/10 was **** though. You can keep that kind of season.
