Something I particularly liked last night was Birmingham having the fanfare of a new manager, the crowd being up for it, start of a new era, big fire things going off, smoke machine, the whistle went and… We kept the ball for the first couple of minutes.
The most recent statistics do have the Express' readership skewing above 35 years old. "35+" was tge range used, so nothing more specific unfortunately. Slightly older stats suggest an average age inside the 50s, same with the Daily Mail, but there isn't much more specific in the last couple of years. So, on the face of it, they do have an audience which does get most of it's readership from the older generations.
... And there'd be a similar ambiguously clickbaity headlined article in the Birmingham mail most likely.
I wrote to the Club(and emailed them)some time ago regarding an extremely negative headline in the HDM against it.No response,ZILCH!!! **** em,I just wear a 'Baz Cooper is God' t-shirt now and read the Daily Mail
Arrest made at Birmingham City match over alleged racial abuse of Blues player Birmingham Live at it again. New owners, new manager they could write about, but they have to carry out their agenda against the blues. Even had to name drop the club in the headline. ****s.
There can be no doubt that it's purely a clickbait article, it has absolutely **** all to do with Hull, Hull City, or Hull City fans, so they have to headline it in a way that gets round the fact that it's an irrelevant load of old ****e. I take on board the comments about Baz 'just doing his job', but Phil Buckingham managed to do exactly the same job without any of this nonsense. That said, I often think people deliberately go onto Hull Live Sport just so they can be outraged by all the rugby articles, when they could just go straight to Hull City Live and not see any rugby articles (sadly though, at least for today, there's no way to get to City articles without coming across some ****e about someone being racist in Birmingham last week).
And you think the Guardian, Independent and others readers and other are all youngsters? The fact is younger people tend not to read newspapers. BTW, as a proof reader I must tell you that it is its readership.
I don’t think Baz will write the headlines.Which is why in a lot of instances, and not just in the Fail, headlines are often not an accurate indicator of the content of the article.
Is there a lot of racism in Birmingham, one of Britain's first 'Super Diverse' City's(alongside Leicester)?
You don't think its a problem then? Cooper didn't write todays appallingly misleading story and headline , it was from the news desk. Do you honestly think the club are not aware of the negativity from the local media? Why do you think Dave Burns was banned for so long and Radio Humberside lost the contract? I remember Brian Taylor getting banned in the late 60's, Dave Bond after him in the 80's/early 90's. No click bait in those days, just continous negative swipes at the club and its supporters. Its not 'prissy HDM snowlflakes', either, what ever they are, its a fact, its gone of for years and will continue to go on when people like you do not see the problem. Plus I thought this was a social media platform for fans to discuss everything Hull City? Or is it just for everything Hull City that you agree with?
Slight exaggeration maybe, hardly a sweeping generalisation and not the political comment you're trying to turn it into. Pensioners do fall into the over 50s demographic you realise?
