Surely the Italian FA will have to let it be known when they first began the investigation. They would have contacted AC Milan first. If it was before the transfer they would have had to let Newcastle know surely?
Italians probably knew and Newcastle weren't diligent enough is probably the truth of it. Always somewhere in the middle.
This idea a club can find out everything about a person is silly .. they'll do standard checks like every other club. It's always some idiots on talksport or a bitter *****loid that wants to believe the club they want to fail got something wrong. What you going to do to hire private investigators and follow players.
I'll take the job the one I'm doing now is crap and I'm going to get rumbled for not even trying soon.
Why 'not Milan'? If they knew then they may have been in breach of a contractual term, for example, of good faith.
Depends what was in the contract that was signed by both clubs I imagine. Given there were no actual charges against him when sold, I’d imagine Milan will deny all knowledge of it. But why would you not go after tonali? Newcastle should be looking to get the wages back, signing on fee back etc.
