His arm is in a natural position. He was falling backwards so his arm will be outstretched. Also it comes off Bazunu and bounces up onto his arm rather than the shot directly hitting his arm.
All I know is that I look forward to matches now with a degree of optimism, not a lot. Last season I dreaded every game. If you hate what Saints are doing so much, try another team, as a wise man once said. He wasn’t a Saints supporter.
Can anyone point me towards a match highlights stream for last night's match, or the full match replay? I've watched the 2 minutes highlights on the OS, but several incidents mentioned here weren't shown in the highlights. Thanks.
I wish I could. I hate this “possession” style. Every game I watch I wish I hadn’t. First half in the Leeds game was probably the only time I enjoyed a game. Maybe you’re right and I should do something else. It’s in the blood though unfortunately. And I just can’t buy this “we need time to learn the system” that gets spouted when we see next to no improvements over a quarter of the season. Preston have a limited budget, limited players yet they looked the most likely to score for the whole game. Something isn’t clicking with saints. Hopefully this weekend at home we can build on these late goals
I don’t think Charly actually knows what RM wants him to do,in all honesty. Early in the season RM criticised Charly’s decision making and the next game Charly is in a great position, in the D, to shoot but passed the ball sideways and the opportunity was lost. Not so long ago RM said something about playing Charly in a position he was more accustomed to playing in, which raised the question in my mind as to why was he being played in a position he wasn’t accustomed to, which is possibly why his performances have dropped. We saw enough last season to know that there is a decent player there, but it’s up to the manager to play him where his strengths are and get the best out of him.
All about opinions no doubt will run into Tom at the return game will lob a match blog on here shortly until we meet again all the best and hopefully Russell may let you have shots at goal
Positives…we are scoring goals, don’t care if they are not all brilliant or even deserved. Last season we struggled to score. We never surrender…we know we can get late goals. And finally, we can go to a match and have some expectations of a win…another thing we couldn’t do last season. People are moaning as if they think we should be EPL standard…news folks, we aren’t in the Premier League…because we aren’t that standard.
[Edit] Extended highlights now on OS. Two 'handballs', one for each side, that were not given by the ref. Fair enough.
I seem to recall, correct me wrong please, didn't a movement towards getting Koeman out in December begin on here?
