A lot of the enjoyment from supporting Liverpool is watching us win in every way possible whether that's an exceptional performance that ends Liverpool 4 - Barcelona 0 or a dreary game until the 97th minute Liverpool 1 - Everton 0 and the accompanying ecstatic joy .... and everything in between. Those two games exemplifying an edge of your seat thriller and a borefest both resulting in long lasting memories.
Scoring in the last minute to win brings that euphoria moment which is obviously great but usually makes for a frustrating watch before that moment arrives, particularly when it ends 1-0
I DEFINITLY do not want to see Man utd or Man city or Chelsea or Spurs score 4 goals off us. The odd Bournemouth game might be fun but nobody wants to see any rival get anything but crushed into dust.
For me it depends on what the last minute winner looks like. If it's an Origi or Alisson header, it's the stuff of dreams regardless of what the performance in the previous 90+ minutes was.

Was it the flags? I read earlier that they were going to defy the ruling not to bring them but I didn't watch the game so don't know. Got to be honest, I don't like seeing anything political not football related in the crowd.
I didn't watch the game but there are some impressive images of many Palestinian flags........I think there comes a time when ordinary folk just want to express solidarity, god knows someone needs to.
Ah yes, poor old Palestinians, they and the Arab world all cheered the attack on Israel when they butchered men women and unborn children etc . But now Israel are responding, it’s boo hoo it’s not fair. The amount of anti semitic hate that was unleashed in this country and around the world after the attack was shameful.
So you think it's ok when a terrorist group make a raid and kill/abduct 1400 people that a full blown military attack is then used to kill 6000 plus civilians (including women, children, babies and the unborn) and destroy their homes?
Diego, I’m not happy with any of it, but one question I will ask is this. Gaza , run by Hamas since 2007 and supported by a majority of Palestinians has as is charter the death of Jew and the destruction of Israel. Hamas, funded by Iran and other Arab countries. If the Arabs truly wanted a proper 2 state solution why have they not removed Hamas from the equation. Why won’t Egypt and Jordan accept those that who want to escape from Israel’s response? Hamas knew what Israel’s response would be after they carried out their attack but didn’t care. It’s all about killing Jews And just for the record, I can’t stand Netanyahu, he’s a corrupt Cnut bit that still doesn’t excuse the shameful anti semiotic scenes here and around the world, with people chanting ‘Gas the Jews’.
Firstly Hamas were elected because after years of opression and haveing their land stolen and houses bulldozed to clear room for Israeli settlers the Palistinians wanted someone they thought could fight back. Second i think any nation has the resposibilty of proportionate retaliation (this does not include the indiscriminate bombing and murder of civilians and the destruction of their homes/lives) Do you believe that if the IDF know where these tunnels are they don't have the man power or ability to go into Gaza (without first killing thousands of civillians and destroying their homes) to clear them out? Just clearing the path for more settlers IMHO.
I'm not taking sides in this but I'm going to reiterate a point I made at the start. What the hell did Hamas expect when they instigated this? They knew the response Israel was going to give and they condemned thousands of their own people to death and hundreds of thousands to displacement and misery. Did those people want this? The situation is out of control and nobody - nobody, comes out of it looking good. The vast majority of people want to be left alone to live their lives in peace, they don't want this **** brought down on them by a handful of extremist power-seekers, no matter whose side they're on.
scoot off over to GC if you wanna debate politics. this thread is about mundane affairs like how wet it was at newcastle.
