We would’ve have even won the penalty if Bamford wasn’t on the pitch as Piroe isn’t the type of player to make that run.

The Jimmy miss was almost as bad as the pen. Took another touch he didn’t need and gave the defender chance to get the block in.

We were just Poor tonight all over.

Rutter was decent second half. Meslier didn’t do anything wrong. Not sure anyone else can claim to have performed to an acceptable level.

    Ho hum. Onwards and sideways.

That’s ten penalties Bamford has taken for us. He’s missed five including the last three and he’s still allowed take them. That probably should be on the joke thread

If we scored that penalty, we would have gone on and scored more as Stoke would have to open up, bloody awful miss. No doubt cost us three points.

Did you watch the game? We were terrible. That ain’t on Bamford. Only maybe Rutter and Rodon can hold his head high after that and thats probably clutching.

We were better as in we competed from around the 35th minute, the second half I thought we were slightly better. It doesn’t seem to matter which coach we have, even Bielsa was guilty too often of not simply picking players in their best position.

Is Ayling or Byram a better RB than Gray. Is Gray a better Midfielder than Gruev, are Summerville and James our most effective players, is Gnonto better on the left. For me, five huge mistakes, six actually, is there a single Leeds fan who’d let Bamford take that penalty

Farke cost up,dropping our best player Somerville and playing a Bulgarian who did nothing,Bamford shouldn't have been allowed to take the pen as he hadn't touched the ball yet.Should have been a nominated penalty taker who should have taken it.

Meslier - 7. Had a bit of work to do and generally coped well.

Gray - 3. Another bad one. Not his fault but he looks just like a midfielder playing at full back and he doesn't have the experience to cope. Farke to blame.

Struijk - 5. The good, the bad and the ugly tonight. A real mixed bag. Scored the winner.....for Stoke.

Rodon - 6. Another decent display but looked a little uncertain at times. Didn't dominate the aerial battle as expected.

Byram - 6. Performances have dipped of late from his early season form but still not letting anyone down.

Ampadu - 6. Back to back average games for him. Still our best midfielder.

Gruev - 4. Difficult first half where he looked completely lost with the pace of the game. Better 2nd half but really not up to standard. We better hope Ampadu stays fit.

Gnonto - 3. Poor control. Sulked and moaned his way through the game. Obviously very rusty after his injury layoff. Didn't really make much attempt to help the 17 year old behind him.

Piroe - 6. Inconsistent but did provide the odd bright spark in that dour 1st half performance. He's an out and out #9. Farkes fault.

Anthony - 5. Great work rate. Poor end product. His worst performance in a Leeds shirt.

Rutter - 6. Didn't hold the ball up at all. First touch was poor until he slotted in to the playmaker spot and he came alive and looked different class. His finishing is very poor.

    Subs.

Summerville - 8. Did more in 20 minutes than the rest put together.

James - 7. Put us on the front foot.

Bamford - 6. His all around game actually had a positive impact and he should have won us the game by winning the penalty but he missed the spot kick. Farkes fault.

Poveda - n/a. Probably deserves a bit more game time.

Ayling - n/a. Did what he could to try and salvage something at the end.

Yes I did watch the game. Terrible match, ruined by Stoke. It is on Bamford, he has no confidence, he is soft, he has missed 3 penos which cost us another 3 pts. IT IS ON BAMFORD

Usually there is a pecking order for penalties. I'm pretty sure Piroe should be #1 but if Bamford is #2 then we have problems. The manager should know his best penalty takers and let them know the order. Whoever is the top ranked on the pitch takes the penalty.

Shame as we improved significantly second half and were the only winners up until the penalty miss. Unfortunately same as against Newcastle last season once Bamford has failed it gives the opposition a massive boost and so it proved again tonight.

Gutted as we've turned a hard fought away win into a defeat.

Stats on that to back it up

70th minute - Bamford subbed on
    74th minute - Bamford wins a penalty
75th minute - Bamford misses penalty
    79th minute - Stoke 1-0 Leeds

Struijk 6 on par with Rodon for me, he really could do nothing about the goal.

Anthony 4 he was as poor as Gruev and Gnonto. The sulking Gnonto does is really grinding my gears

Bamford 2 he cost us three points.

Rutter asked him about taking the penalty and Bamford said it’s mine, he’s a twat, a selfish twat who was probably hoping to cup his ears to the Leeds fans. You’ve just come on, you’re out of goal scoring form and missed the last two, he’s a tool

Well I suggest that all you expert coaches apply for the next vacant job at Leeds Utd. As for Bamford, blame the captain, he should have said no you ain't taking it. I thought it was a tactical change for the team we were p.aying against. All knee jerk comments after a lost.
