Enjoying the season so far, eh?! In a bit of a relegation scrap, I see & things can only get worse, especially if you're losing at home to teams like Barnet. Funny, funny, funny..

Would the Gas be the biggest bunch of losers in the BSP then AJ, if they did go down? What with being a massive club n'all.

They'll no doubt walk the BSP too! ;)

as i know it is not size it is quality that counts. a former big club like the gas should know that. precious little quality at the mem. get rid of buckle and then you may walk away from what looks like a tricky relegation battle. where is your next win coming from.

A team with a new manager who had brought in so many new faces, well.. It was doomed from the very start. How on earth anyone could've thought it was going to work is beyond me.

    You are C.R.A.P. :)

trying to look at the positives, i suggest
1 sack and pay off buckle
2 appoint stuart campbell as player manager say until end of the year.
3 dressing room morale will improve
    4 confidence will increase
    5 bigger gates
    6. in 6 weeks some of buckles lemons can be got shot of. or without buckle they may be great.

come on gas you know it makes sense and do us a favour take 3 points at southend, lol, well you won at morecambe

Why don't these bitter Salops just **** off to their tin pot town?

Ffs you're Shrewsbury - we throw Weetabix at your bloody club. And there was about 150 of you at the play-off final. Tossers.

Mind you, I agree with you about Buckle. He can **** off too.

ok baldie blue i have noticed your bellicos manner bt that will hardly keep gas in the league, perhaps throwing cambell in at the deep end he needs training and guidence from a retired manager, is ray graydon still working, otherwise he may be your man. gas cannot go on, 10 more deeats and you are toast, so calm down baldieblue and smell the coffee or the entrails of a deeply troubled cub

No not Ray Graydon. He almost took us out of the 4th tier and into the conference.

What I'm trying to work out is how last year Higgs had a trigger finger - firing Trollope in November, Penney after 12 games and Campbell when he couldn't save the sinking ship. Buckle talked a good game in pre season and has retreated from those grandiose statements he made. I'm beginning to think he's another Ian Atkins. That's bloody frightening!

no i was not suggesting ray graydon took over but assisted stuart cambell rather than him being thrown in at the deep end. it does not have to be graydon but a retired manager keen on turning a rudderless super tanker around. something has to happen soon, as an iceburg threatens

come on gas you have the players it s a lack of man management that is doing the gas in. at present irene is overdosing on ovaltine.improved moral, confidence and a cup run all helps, together with a happy dressing room.at present you are floundering, not bad enough to go down but emminently suitable to finish in the bottom 6. come on gas get rid of buckle, NOW

AJ as I said in an earlier post on this thread we might not be in a position to pay Buckle off. Buckle had a budget to spend on players in the summer which he exceeded coupled with falling attendances because the football being provided on the pitch is below expectations means the likelihood that we have not got the funds to pay up his contract in full. Also this means we more than likely cannot bring someone in as a Director of Football (similar to Lennie Lawrence). Ray Graydon would not be the right choice as he was such a failure as a manager he wouldn't be accepted in any other position in the club by the fans - including dishing out the pasties.

It could well be that the biggest mistake Higgs made through thisw entire fiasco was in not renewing Lawrence's contract.

i am sorry to hear this news. if you were able to dump/sell some players in 5 weeks time, reduce the wage bill and then get rid, or do you stick with him and hope you put a few wins together, alright next saturday is awkward,
you could still get near or in the play offs. gas won't go down with argyle, daggers and bantams seemingly permanent fixtures. you are having a rough patch, i hope things get better soon
