Most teams have just as many bad signings as good ones. In your opinion we are weaker than last season. As i said time will tell, im not making a judgement on that until we see more of the new players Our of interest, this isn't just for you prehab, but for the people saying get rid of TM who would they want to replace him? Always easy saying get rid of him but harder saying who thry realistically want to replace him
Not sure if this point has been made, it Huggins take some blame for removing himself from the front post for their goal. Burstow did very little, yet there was a few times he should of been played through. Even the JC early chance should have been squared to him for what could have been a fairly easy finish. You can now see why TM has only one promotion on his record.
I agree with this 100%, he has shown nothing and been given more opportunities than any of our own players
Morning after the night before. Feel largely positive, but frustrated that we've taken 6 points from 6 games now and thrown away a good position. Sat is must win. Would be great if we could put in a long unbeaten run until the end of the year - some tough, but winnable games
I get what you're saying mate about unlucky to not get something out of it but for me it's down to inept finishing and woeful decision making in the final third, not luck. Coupled with always likely to concede, what seems like every game, from a set piece.
Bit harsh I think. I'm struggling to think of any times we have created a chance or an opening for him. It's not like Gelhardt last season where there was glaring miss after glaring miss. Maybe he's not getting into the right positions, but seemingly our wingers do not trust him, or are so conditioned to playing without a striker that early crosses just aren't happening. Agree with your other comments re Stewart money and the club need to put this right in Jan. We are a very good side, but need a finisher. I would hope the club have someone lined up now to sign in Jan (arf) then send the likes of Hemir out on loan Rusyn is an odd one - 2 months since we signed him and Mowbray doesn't seem to trust him. Sure the language barrier is an obstacle, but after 9 weeks in England you'd assume he can get some of the basics - at least enough to understand where to run, where to stand (if indeed a 24yo professional football needs to be told) Last season we relied on Amad. This season there is a gaping hole in the team and whilst Clarke has been brilliant, he can't do it on his own. Finally (I started this post trying to be positive ) the O'Nien problem needs sorting - he's too much of a liability in a back 4. Either switch to a 3, or play him as a CDM (same thing effectively) because he's starting to cost us points and his (apparently) fabled distribution has been woeful in the last few games
They'll absolutely have someone on ice lined up for when TM loses 5 in a row. Might come sooner than we think (no intel, just gut feel) I love TM, but there are starting to be some questions about him - we are seeing some of the similar traits Blackburn and Coventry fans warned us about. It could be argued that a safe pair of hands, someone willing to play the youngsters etc was fine for last season, but not what we need now - look at Leicester (and I know they have a crazy squad) but they took Pep's Ass Man and that sort of appointment would probably be the dream one for KLD
Spot on about O9. Jsut because he can dribble with the ball better than other centre backs shouldn't be the reason he starts each week. Opponents are targeting him now on set players and pressing him harder making his distribution shocking.
Depends how bold we want to be really. Fabian Hürzeler is top of the Bundesliga 2 and is 30. Probably won't be him but it will be someone similar imo.
Correct. Oppo managers aren't daft - since Huggins came into the team, I've noticed every opposition have targeted him with high diags over his head to a tall winger/striker. Thankfully his speed makes up for his loss of height, but you are right - opposition managers will pick up on these flaws.
Any names stand out to you? Just curious as to who folk want I dont really pay a massive about of attention to coaches abroad just intrigued to know if anyone on here has some names
That sort of signing is what we'll go for IMHO - young, foreign and unknown (to us) but done stellar work in Bundesliga 2 or are an Assistant Coach somewhere
Got really into German football a few years back, the fan ownership system and atmospheres over there make our countries football look shocking.
Not specifically mate. But they clearly considered that lad who has Nice top now, so someone of that ilk will do.
Cheers mate New name to me, i agree i think if we do get rid of TM (btw i dont think we should yet) itll be for a young foreign manager
