Anyone who has ever lost a friend at such a young and tender age, regardless of the circumstances, doesn't forget. I so get the sentiment of that cartoon; sometimes you can rationalize it and it don't affect you none, sometimes it pins you to the ground and shakes you to your very core. Aye marra. Enjoy life. Never forget how fragile we are.
I think you're a good poster MO, even if others dont and I disagree with you most of the time. Don't make me change my mind...
Didn't know where to stick this, but Acun has *apparently* met with Diego Simeone for dinner over the last couple of days. He's in the UK for Athletico's game against Celtic. Wonder if we're forming another relationship with a big club. Obviously not interviewing him for the manager's position, not that I imagine many have forgiven him for his antics that got David Beckham sent off.
"as soon as you see the ref reaching for his pocket, jump up, send the stretcher, ivf drip, defibrilator and priest with holy water administering the last rights back and sprint to your starting position as if nothing had happened..." Wouldn't do any harm. We're too ****ing nice.
Before my time so that doesn't bother me. Went to an Atletico game last season as tourist twat on a trip to Madrid and spent more time watching him on the touchline than I did the game!
I was trying to think back when teams started to warm up on the pitch? When I started watching City, they would run out to Tiger Rag, kick a few balls into the goal, then kick off. When did that change?
They used to kick a few balls about then go off and have a *** before coming out again for the kick off. The home team came out first in those days which led to chants of “United/Rovers/ Wanderers or whoever daren’t come out…”.
