Yeah just saw the replay for the goal and I'm not seeing why he's getting blamed for it. As in why it's his fault specifically. He's a good player doing a good job.
Was happy but frustrated with the overall performance....... Then came the 93rd minute and Mowbray has me fuming . Wtf does he expect hemir to do in two minutes after he decided to go with no striker yet again.
The shirt pull in the box wasn't a penalty as for once the Ref gave the right decision and gave the freekick where the offence started. Thought the Ref wasn't that bad, the lino let us down, no time wasting both teams trying to play in the right way. Won't read this thread if we get beat on Saturday, it'll tip a sane man over the edge reading some of the comments on here when we suffer a defeat, we're never going to win them all, being gracious in defeat doesn't actually hurt.
Its 09's fault that Jobe didn't look or challenge for the header. Ballard made a fair few mistakes at the weekend and tonight same as they all do
exactly. Our finishing has been poor last few games. TM may have made some odd subs but the players need to finish the chances they are getting. I can understand why he said he wants to slap a few of them, I do too. they are young and naive and need to grow soon. Still confident we will get there, but the players need to grasp what is required.
Aye mistakes happen there's nobody doesn't make them. Feels like O'Nien and Neil cop the most criticism regardless of what happens which is odd considering how good they are and how much effort they put in.
“Tony Mowbray has done really well” from a Leicester fan. “Best side we’ve seen here”. Sunderland fans “Mowbray is clueless, Mowbray out etc etc”.
Thats not the rule though, should've been a penalty. If a defender is holding a player outside the box and continues inside the box it is a penalty.
O9 was marking Justin and let him run off him. Jobe has no chance jumping from a standing start against a player making a run on him. The only possible excuse for O9 is if TM asked us to marked zonaly
I thought the performance was very good to be honest. I should imagine Leicester are saying we are one of the better teams they have faced. We certainly played through and around them time and again. Shooting practice needed for some. As for the striker situation. It is easy to say Hemir or Rusyn should play. We dont see them in training. Hemir, to me anyway, looks like a young lad who has yet to learn how to use his physicality. In 2 mins tonight he failed to compete 3 times for balls up to him. It was very noticeable. Rusyn may be difficult to play because of the language barrier. Hemir in particular was always one for the future not the now and will take time, especially as he looks a 9. I am still confident in Rusyn, hoping he settles in soon. Whoever we play up front though Clarke and Roberts need to learn to play for a striker. Both always want to cut inside all the time and that will always negate the chance for a strikers movement across the defender.
As I said at the weekend, on social media there is a growing "Mowbray out" voice and its getting louder
