Created this early because I'm going abroad tomorrow and not taking my laptop with me. Frustrating that I'm likely going to miss both this and the Chelsea game, but I hope we can get two great results off the back of the international break.

Why exactly do we have a squad?

Jorginho and Raya starting again. Artetas becoming as bad as Southgate.

Partey and Ramsdale both deserve to start on merit. IMO

Ok Partey picked up an injury apparently.

Still think Ramsadel should be back in though.

Also seems a bit weird there's no midfield rotation here.

Sow with the most blatant pull back booking I've ever seen. No card. Standard.

Martinelli is soo good in those situations.

Overall we played well against a very good Seville side.

My main gripe would be Odegaard hasn't been himself for 4-5 games now. We lack creativity when he's not sharp.

    Nervy ending that.

    Tough game.

    Gabriel Jesus was brilliant.

Raya made another error that almost costs us. (bring back Ramsdale!)

Rice and Tomiyasu are both soo good in these situations. They seem to love a tough scrappy game.

    Great win.
The timing of their goal was unfortunate for us as I think we were about to go on and blitz them. Made that last half and hour a real grind.
Raya is making me very nervous.

This was a great result - Sevilla away in Europe is not an easy fixture at all and, for 2/3 of the game, we were in control. Should have extended the 2-goal lead we had, though. Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka and Jesus all had good opportunities to score a 3rd and didn't make the most of them. The set-piece Gudelj scored from to halve the deficit was annoying, as no-one picked him up, but we showed a lot of mettle and resilience to see the game out. Thought defensively we were very sound and Rice was bossing the middle. Tomiyasu locked up that flank expertly and showed some attacking threat too.

Raya's clearance at the end that looped backwards onto the top of the goal was a 'heart in mouth' moment, but felt he was OK aside from that.

For me, this was the hardest fixture of the group and we came through it with flying colours. We're in a strong position to finish top of the group now, especially as our next two games are at home (Sevilla and Lens).
