It’s a pain in the arse when you have a housebound mother who lives in Bugle Street, and a father in a nursing home near the common.
Yep, he gets in the sort of positions in the box that I would like to have seen JWP do more in his later Saints career, I think that Smallbone will get his fair share of open play goals and he has a decent long shot on him as well.
He played further forward as a youngster so no surprise really. Hopefully he retains that instinct in and around the box as he grows as a deeper central midfielder.
Bugle Sts a bugger but can’t you park and walk at Common. I park near Bellemoor for games and in Car Park near Northlands for Avenue side
Ooh, I'm getting all nostalgic about this one. It was my first away game after we'd been relegated in '05. Met some good people in the pub before hand, paying silly money for good beer. Saints fans insulted their crowd even before kick off - 'My garden shed etc etc' and 'Your support really isn't very good' - oh what a witty lot. Go one-nil up and start 'We're only here for a season' (that was nearly true - we almost got relegated) only for Preston to equalise at which point Fuller and Redknapp came in for considerbale grief. Oh what jolly memories! I'd settle for 1-1 tomorrow. Maybe the choir will have learned that basically we're not that great!
We have got this one. Preston could only draw 1-1 with struggling Rotherham. Oh hang fire a sec..........
So it is and we will. I'll be having my usual pre match mood stabilisation. please log in to view this image
He is still not training with the first team so I can't imagine he is particularly close to a return. With the November international break only 3 weekends away, I'm thinking it will be December before he is involved in a match day squad.
He's training with the first team a bit, according to Russ, and progressing well. He also said he didn't want him involved this week because there are 3 games in quick succession (not sure why that means he can't be involved for at least one game). But yeah I reckon after the next international break is most likely.
