No don't remember that one, but I'm very limited on memory to the one Solid mentioned - I always remember the iconic picture of her standing in front of her captors flag with a big gun. But at the time they couldn't work out whether she had actually joined them or whether it was a survival act.

 

I couldn't be sure this was the exact picture I remember, but it would have been this or something very similar...

It is quite intriguing in these type of hostage situations how they take a liking to their captors. It don't always make for good propaganda, for those trying to get them released, as the 85 year old Israeli woman demonstrated - none of her reactions surprised me.

 

I always remember the Terry Waite hostage situation, don't know if he's still alive.

 

she went a bit further than most to the extent she was at the forefront of quite a few of their actions and having an awareness of your captors grievances / hopes is a bit different to using a machine gun on their behalf
