Well they left one donkey or another as a quasi forward. beto was awful after dcl staggered off. as I said 8-1-1. their subs with two defenders on at ht said it all.
He also said, at the time of Young's first booking "He can't argue with that - he got done and stuck a leg out to stop him'. Then turned around for the second booking and said ' That was a booking, but the first one wasn't really, so the ref should have showed some common sense'.
Ashley Young shouted abuse at the officials as he walked off. VVD got a one match ban and £100k fine for doing that...
Are we worried about what a **** player who is holding everton back does? They will only improve if dyche puts patterson in and works on him.
that lad played fairly well in the limited sense of backs to wall be a hero blocking stuff sort of game. Perfect means to turn the bitters against a player. Hug an LFC player before or after the game while smiling. I can hear the BOOOOOS already.
great angles in these videos. really good usually. You can really see the sneaky keane hand out. he knows what he is at there imo. he's not out the for no reason Someone posted a shot of him doing the same v Leicester last year. You can see diaz rolling about getting the yellow and you can see pickford slapping diaz in the head for onana going over ht barrier by himself. you can also see why the ref as never giving diaz a pen after rolling about for young card.
He's blocking space and he knows it,that type of situation is usually given these days, and rightly so.
I'm struggling to remember a time when it wasn't, despite what they said on TNT and MoTD. It's akin to standing in a wall for a free-kick with your arms raised above your head, and when the ball hits them you give away a pen, and then saying "It was ball to hand".
given he did exactly the same including body position v Leicester last season the very best any nutjob can jlclaim is he is a fool. if any of their clubs was denied a pen they'd be screaming.
I have sympathy for players who slide to block or lunge to block a cross. Your arm will always go up. It happens every single time and it is a natural position - as it happens naturally to keep your balance. However if you’re standing still and just stick your arm out before someone even kicks the ball - that’s your own fault if it hits your arm
The whole "unnatural position" thing is farcical, imo. How more unnatural can it be for a defender trying to block or intercept with his arms behind his back or for anyone to try and jump without using their arms for leverage? The ref has to judge whether or not there is deliberate movement towards the ball or if a player takes up a posture that is clearly designed to make himself bigger illegally. Again, it's one of those inevitably subjective things that will always give someone something to argue about.
