Not been a great game for both keepers. Chelsea gone from comfortable and Sanchez passes it to Rice for an open goal
Arsenal dropping points is useful for us. Spurs to drop points and be a solid weekend. Looking close at top for top 4 though. Newcastle after iffy start are hitting form as well. Atm looking like 5 into 4 but 5th may get CL anyway
The bottom of the table looks really dire. I say this as I think it will directly influence the top end (we've dropped 5 points v top 6 rivals now due to refs and inability to defend so we can't afford to leak any points at all in the bottom half) fulham played 8, won 3 drawn 2. start of the half reasonable midtable dross. Brentford without toney are ****. played 9 won 2 drawn 4. Forest played 9 won 2 drawn 4. are well up the table Everton played 9 won 2 drawn 1. are lucky theres so much **** below them. luton played 9 won 1 drawn 2. just scraping agaisnt the other **** so far Burnley played 9 won 1 drawn 1. insisting on playing football. Bournemouth played 9 drawn 3. dysmal. horrid managerial appointment. Again a guy trying to play football sheff utd. played 9 drawn 1. Never even tried to sign a player to survive. The managerial sackings have not yet started but it cannot be long in coming. Sheff utd only result was a draw to everton. bournemouth draw with chelsea, Brentford and west ham. They shouldn't really be drawing any of those. burnely beat luton and drew with forest. Luton beat everton LOL, drew with forest and wolves. On this evidence there's a lot of work for everton ahead as they've thrown in results there that are absolutely unacceptable in a relegation dogfight. 5 points dropped v sheff utd and luton.
In stark contrast to last year, the only ones who seem in danger are Iraola at Bournemouth and possibly Heckingbottom at Sheffield United. All the rest I would think are safe for now at least.
seems to be. I think Bournemouth have completely and utterly cocked up by their appointment and its not working. If you appoint a man who will pass it along his own goal line (like arteta) then you have to buy him a whole team who can. Otherwise just don't appoint them. I don't know what sheff utd are meant to do if the club sells off anyone and pockets the 1200mil. I'm sure he'd love the pay off now.
Arsenal were comical trying to play out from behind a couple of years ago - it's taken them a while to work it out. Perhaps given time Bournemouth will too, though they'll never afford the calibre of player Arsenal can.
well when you are rock bottom and in the championship it gets tougher. In fairness though, Leicester are top of the championship by a mile for Ipswich by doing the same thing. its not thats its a terrible way to play, its that if you are not capable of not giving the ball away you will lose goals giving it away close to your own goal.
I can't be arsed watching post-match stuff - did somebody really ask Klopp if Everton should have a replay?
I'd have said sit there and be quiet and ignore his questions for the rest of his career. a quick call but the lfc media stsff to his editor suggesting they might be better sending anyone including up to the dead corpse of market thatcher if they want a response in future I do find people eventually get the message
