Quick turnround between games and a chance to get back on track for the lads. We know on our day we can compete with any team in the league and despite 2 disappointing results I still believe we will give them fright. Praying we play with a fast tempo as we look so much better
This is the sort of game we could go and win after 2 crap results like. Would be very Sunderlandy. I'll take a point though then we need to beat Norwich and get things back on track Having said that, we never win when I'm in Canada: 1-1 v Sheff Wed 2017 1-3 v Sheff Wed 2018 1-1 v Oxford 2019 0-1 v Charlton 2021 2-4 v Burnley 2022 Sorry lads
Thanks again RTB for your match day thread , maybe we will get a surprise result here, I have gone for a draw but hope for a win, for the record I like your team but maybe two games in so short a space for Ekwah is risky, but don,t think TM will change much tbh its not his way so we will have to wait and see. OaU.
I was at the match on Saturday and whilst the performance and result were not great I still think we showed enough when playing poorly to have gotten something out of that game. Stoke were not good but we were having an off day. I expect a reaction but with such a young team its hard to judge if that will happen but I hope so. DN was a big miss and I think that will help but Leicester are flying at the minute so I will hope for a draw but truthfully with this team who knows and the fact Keith Stroud is referee will give more of a chance to Leicester as some of his decisions against us in recent times have not been great. On a side note the fans on Saturday at Stoke were great and backed the team to the hilt but some of the stuff on social media has been a disgrace from our so called fans.
Agree with this, or even try Adil as part of the 3, I think he's good enough / disciplined enough to do that role
Interesting team selection ahead. We are awash with skilful no.8s, no.10s and wingers, but lacking in genuine defensive midfielders and strikers. As a bare minimum I'd like to see Neil and Ekwah restored to the midfield, that is a partnership that has worked well all season. Toss up between 4 players for the No.10 role, but I'd stick with Pritch and play Clarke/Ba out wide Roberts has been poor since his injury and not sure it's time yet for Aouchiche or Rusyn to start I'd go: Patterson Hume O'Nien Ballard Huggins Neil Ekwah Ba Pritchard Clarke Burstow Subs: Bishop, Seelt, Triantis, Jobe, Dack, Rigg, Aouchiche, Bennette, Rusyn
They'll play - he's always telling us about mysterious players with apparent knocks then we put out a full team.
Not sure I'll even keep an eye on this one tbh. The last couple of weeks have made me think about binning football off altogether. Not our team, but the whole state of the game that it's been our turn to suffer from recently. It's simply corrupt as ****.
