I do wonder about all these people protesting for a Free Palestinian State. Most of them are really just anti-Semites. Somebody should go and stop them in the street and ask them about the history of the Palestinian State. The fact of the matter is that there has never been a Palestinian State. The land where Israel stands has a long history of being controlled by ‘other’ people: it was a British mandate when Israel was created, before that it belonged to the Ottoman Empire, preceded by the Islamic State of Egypt and it belonged to various Empires before that; and if you go back a thousand years or more it was the Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem and the Byzantine Empire. In Biblical times it was Judah, the Kingdom of Israel. So who does have the best claim on it?
