Agreed. Been a few games this season where we've looked flat from minute one. This defeat is on him today though. Got the tactics and team selection wrong

But it's why we were able to sign him carrying such an injury

    Hopefully a calculated risk anyway

imo every winger is better with a defender behind them and making runs past them at times which worked lovely last season with him and hume.
He holds onto the ball because he’s not got any body to hit.

Pissed off at that today. 5 defeats this season now and none of them where the opposition had to work particularly hard to score the goals they did.

Have we conceded a genuinely good goal in any of these games, or indeed at any point this season?

Frustrated tonight and can't even have a drink. Hey ho, will feel better in the morning I guess

Jobe was the only player who came out of the game with any credit IMHO

I absolutely love Tony but I don’t think he’s in the dugout next season

It's a near certainty he won't be in the dug out next season.

Might have done better with both goals. Missed headers in both

Incidentally, for anyone who didn't watch the game, Stoke are an awful side. They were wasting time at 1-1 before half time and standing on all our free kicks. In the last five minutes they started dropping to the ground without any contact ...

... on one occasion, a Sunderland corner, three of them went down as if there was a machine gunner in the crowd.

Pitiful behaviour for grown men <doh>

1st half yes, 2nd he tired and it coincided with Ekwahs lack of match fitness. Ballards driving runs forward was one of the plus points today.

Was more his desire and drive to try get things going. And played a couple brilliant passes and hit the post.

All good mate. Losing to Stoke is never good for me with so many Stokie mates. I rarely get ****ed off with defeats these days (walked out after the Boro game laughing and joking with the lads about our rotten luck) but today pissed me off. Hey ho, another chapter in the life of SAFC and it's chip pissing abilities. Roll on Leicester
