Just watched the winner again. Look at Bednarek celebrating and kicking the advertising hoardings. He's loving it.
Smallbone is too lightweight, Delap was a bit meh, It’s BednarEk not BednarAk! For all I know Hull may have once played in black and ambler, however tonight they played in black and orange. Bright ****ing orange! On paper we are a great team, how I wish we played on paper! Does that mean it’s all Martin’s fault we are so tedious? God only knows, we won, but sometimes I hate being a Saints fan…
Yes after 4 straight defeats, now 4 unbeaten with 3 wins, there has to be some optimism and some credit to RM and the team.
@TigerJools Sorry (not sorry) it had to end that way, mate. You were much better than us first half; second half I think we were slightly better, but proper end to end stuff. Great watch. Your goalie and defenders are practically suicidal at times. And that's something coming from a Saints fan, trust me.
There does, but generally when we win at the moment, we scrape a win. We don’t look like a team that’s anywhere near the sum of our parts, let alone one that plays above that. It’s a win, but I’m still very concerned.
I've been out all day visiting my sister and nephews in Kent. I had 5 Live on in the car so I knew it was 1-1 and it got to 5pm and I pulled into Cobham services for a piss. I assumed it was over so I thought it was a draw. I got back into the car just in time for the scores to be read out. Best. Piss. Ever.
Some people are never happy. We won for pity’s sake. Bet most teams get points without being Barcelona. At the end of the season it’s points that count…you don’t get points for style.
Unfortunately it's a lifetime problem once absorbed into the bloodstream. There's no known cure I'm afraid.
100% this. We’ve been losing more games than we’ve won for years. Now we’re reversing the trend, but it’ll take time before we start playing with a swagger. In the mean time every win matters, however it’s achieved.
I don't know how well we played or how the game went but this was always going to be a tough game - they are the only team to beat Leicester don't forget - and that was at Leicester as well. So delighted with the 3 points and another tough trip on Wednesday as well. 4 points out of trips to Hull and Preston would be a good haul I think.
Do we still have the finance to fly to away games and stay overnight, before or after a game? Or is it coach only now? Just wondering how we have ended up with a 4 1/2ish hour journey to Hull, to be followed 4 days later with another equally as long trip to Preston.
Just seen a stat where it says we have taken 12 points from 6 away games this season. That is excellent. If we average 2 points per away game this season we'll finish in the top 6 no sweat.
