It's obvious the players have zero respect for the coach, even arguing with each other today..it's a total mess and Gaz is looking more like Willie Nelson every bloody day, it's cruel leaving him in the job at this stage
I thought we deserved a point from that game. 14 attempts on goal and only 1 on target is part of the problem. I got this text from my mate who works at our training ground during the game ... 'Was talking at the training ground yesterday and a lot of the blame is being pointed at Ferdinand's replacement Ben Williams. Apparently he has a military background and is trying to change everything. ' Ben Williams ... QPR FC | QPR appoint Director of Performance
Just watched the Prem highlights. O'Neill and Derry doing the business at Wolves, all motivation and playing to their strengths
He is director of performance...Gareth explained him as the person who would sort out the injury problems, fitness and development stratergy.. Sir Les was Director of football... not the same job at all. He was to do with recruitment , contracts, buying and selling and getting the coaches to coordinate the ethos of the club. Different jobs. Ben Williams might be doing a **** job, but he's not doing Les's job. We don't seem to have anyone doing that job.....and maybe that is the problem
Wasn’t our American director supposed to be recruiting for SLF’s replacement? Maybe that gap between team/management isn’t helping bridge the gap to the board, but this (under) performance doesn’t need anyone to work out what needs changing. Only a weak and careless board would back off making a change now. Go on too long and it will be too late to have any chance of turning this tanker of a season around.
I’d imagine a Director of performance uses lots of stats and data. Maybe he should look at his own stats since joining us and up his game. I can’t imagine he’s Ferdinand’s replacement given he’s not a football man.
An actual quote from GA after today's game - "Roll on the season because it’s going to be a good one. I’m pretty sure we’re going to finish above that line.”
The captain of the Titanic would’ve been a bit more optimistic on day two of his voyage. Soon he’ll be saying we’re in a battle for 23rd.
