His interview on SSN was tragic. New what he was going to say before he said it. Spouting out the same old ****e.

An absolutely awful result and performance today

the only real good thing I saw was a certain Mr Sessengon, he is the player we have been missing for years, a smart creative midfielder who can make things happen. What we need now is a striker who can get in the positions so Sess can find them.

I am really starting to think Bendtner is over rated.

Aye, that's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. We are so pedestrian at times I struggle to remember I'm watching 'Premier League'.

Haven't heard his interview yet but I can well imagine that he will have churned out the usual lines. Let me guess it was injuries? bad luck? poor refereeing? the crowd? ..... Obviously any reason bar the man himself!

Don't worry Bruce will sort it out... We need to be patient and give Bruce more time because he is a nice man.

Nothing to do with Bruce being a nice man but, yes, more time is required. Today's performance was decent. When will people accept our position to be exactly what you can expect from a mid table-ish team? I'd love to be up there with Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal et al but that's not going to happen for some years, if at all. Money is the big factor & Ellis Short does not seem willing to provide the funds, at the moment.

But the reality is that we arn't in a mid-table position, we are in a bottom 6 position. A mid table position is 7th-14th. We are 15th and in the bottom 6. This is where we are and IMO will be at the end of the season too, the bottom 6.

I did say mid table-ish. I still think we'll finish there, or thereabouts

Bottom 6 is more accurate as it is the truth.

Bruce has form for relegating a club from the premier league. What we are witnessing is classical Steve Bruce...

Papering over the cracks of our 10th place position last season, we actually moved 6 points closer to relegation than the season before and the trend is continuing this season too.

I've said many a time that finishing 10th is no great feat when the teams that finish from 10th-18th are seperated by a mere 8 points. If we had finished 10th and were 20 points away from relegation I wouldn't argue for one moment. However the truth is that last seasons league position merely conceals the fact that we actually moved 6 points closer to relegation than the season before.

Back to this season... If we were 15th and 9 points clear of relegation I would promote Bruce as a manager that is improving the club however that isn't the case, we are now 2 points from relegation after 12 games and 1/3 of the season being almost complete. Today we sit 15th, one position above where we were when Ricky left, 2.5 years later... Now if that is improvement then there are a lot of fans who mustn't of experienced much of life in the fast lane.

There is a trend taking place and yet the some of the BiB's just refuse to admit that it is happening. There isn't any logical reason to expect another mid-table position other than to hope that the league is as tight as last season and hope that we are lucky enough to scrape a win or two more than the teams around us.

Today was a game where we failed to take that win.

Well, I was wrong about Catts, he had a good game and it was it rep that got him booked not the tackle. I and everyone else was right about Elmore he was useless and should not have been on the pitch.
I and everyone else are right about Bruce, playing 5 4 1 at home against Fulham was qthe height of caution. Bendtner was not in the game and although we hit the woodwork we never looked like scoring. One off form striker is not good enough, it would be good if Bruce was honourable and just resigned.

Nice thought, unfortunately it'll never happen.

The 'Bruce Out' chants that started about 85 minutes in will be the end of him should it go pear shaped against Wigan.

He's totally lost the crowd. The song Steve Bruce, Red n White Army, has for the last few home matches just been Red & White Army and then fizzles out. He's had his time, just wish he'd piss off.

But why all the animosity directed towards Bruce? Our last 2 managers were hardly a roaring success but I cannot recall such negativity. I think we are amongst a group of teams that will always be at, or around, mid table. It's the reality of our situation. So long as we stay in the Premier, I'll be happy.

Sorry mate but that is so sad, to accept mediocrity to stay in the Prem and be happy with that.
50 years of following the lads and I still have ambition for SAFC to do well.
Thats not delusion, the money spent over the last few years should have had us comfortably top half and looking upward.
Not a balancing act always looking down relying on other teams results to secure where we finish in the league.
