Watford F.C. v Sheffield Wednesday. ¡¡Xisco!! ¿Que pasó? ¿Enserio? It all started with such hope, it ended so badly. Ten games into the season Muñoz was axed after picking up 2 points, in what was Wednesday's worst ever start to a season. After Muñoz's sacking Moore, the Spaniard's predecessor and the person who got the Sheffield club up from leauge 1 last season, returend at the helm of Huddersfield to pick up a point. A game in which Niel Thompson was the Owl's caretaker boss. At the time of writing they still haven't announced a new manager of if Thompson will continue in charge. This leaves The Owls rooted to the bottom of the table with 3 points in 11. On the other hand, the hosts recently gave Valerien Ismael a new contract. How much longer or improved hasn't been mentioned mind! Despite this Gino Pozzo had to sack someone and it seems that the highly rated Ben Manga, the technical director, has got the boot. I guess there was discontent about the shoe string budget, or false promises made to him. This might satisfy the owner's sacking cravings, but a loss to Wednesday might make him think again. Watford haven't really found any consistent form of their own, and coupled with a lack of talent in the squad, the push for the play offs that some might have thought possible is already looking a bit more of smoke and mirrors from the hierarchy. The pessimists might say that this is a very early relegation battle 6 pointer. The optimists might say we are only 11 games into a 46 game season. Either way, a win would go down better than the first beer on a Friday after work. More news to follow nearer the game as the international break relieves us of Watford related non-sense (for now.)
Wednesday have announced their new head coach - former Germany assistant coach Danny Rohl. New manager bounce incoming...
Those that were away on International duty were, Andrews, Lewis, Porteous, Kayembe and Asprilla. International Watch: Hornets Wrap Up October Break - Watford FC Mening VI has had a pretty much full squad to train for the break. Is Andrews suspended for Saturday?
Andrews is suspended for the next three matches - won't be available for selection until the Huddersfield match in November..
I hope we win then those on Twitter and WFC forum actually wishing we lose look a bit silly. Is that what is has come to now ? Sure criticism of the club and the way it might be run/heading is fair if constructive but surely as fans we want our team to do well and win? Afterall the Pozzos won’t just suddenly disappear over night ! They will probably just sack another manager.
TBF some of our fans are such self entitled bell ends that "know" our history AGT. Some of us lived it PGT. Irritates the living doodahs outta me.
All the players away for International games have returned without injury. Looks as though there is a fully fit squad for once.
I have wondered if Porteous and Hoedt could plays as full backs with Siarralta and Pollock as the centre backs if really needed because of injuries
Don't you think they're a bit slow, duggie? Besides which they already play as wide as full-backs! You could land a 747 between our centre-backs the way we play...
Could be a few issues for away fans travelling today ! https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...nesday-fans-problems-for-watford-trip-4380021
I would love to tell these sort of people they don’t have to go to or watch games if they hate it that much. Not saying we have to be all “happy clappy” and think everything is wonderful but why bother wasting time doing something you don’t enjoy ..? It’s not like work where you are contracted to go. Let’s hope there is something to cheer later!
