I've not really seen much of the coverage tbh. Busy days.. but the less he's around, the better. Quite a terrible person.
I'm hearing that Audi are considering pulling out before they have even turned a wheel! Maybe Andretti could buy Sauber? $300million would be cheaper for Andretti than setting up from scratch.
Crikey Andreas Seidl might be nervous! I’m reading an absolute rumour mill overdrive for Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso! All sorts of things flying around- Aston Martin potentially selling a large stake to a Saudi group (Aramco)? Meanwhile there is chatter that suggests Alonso is in consideration for Red Bull! A big long shot I know. Pedro De La Rosa has been dropping cryptic tweets about preferring to be hopeful and wrong than to be pessimistic and right (he’s like Alonsos manager is he?) Something is afoot- let’s see how it all pans out.
I don't think F1 realises how much fans like the mid/bottom ranked teams, and how many good stories they provide. My favourite F1 results of the last decade have probably all been races where Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari failed to win.
I think they do realise how much fans love the lower / middle order teams . They realise it , they just don’t give a flying f**k about the TRUE fans . Anyone remember when Warwick in the Toleman took it to Pironi ? Hill leading in the Arrows . Hill winning at spa in 1998 . Panis winning in Monaco 1996 ? Alboreto winning in the Tyrell,in the USA ? Brilliant . But they won’t register with this lot
I read somewhere before about Aramco , but I read they wanted to buy all of Aston Martin . I think Alonso would be brilliant in the RED BULL , TROUBLE IS I STILL WANT CHECO TO STAY . Alonso to RBR Checo to Aston Martin ? IF Alonso does make the move , the child will have no luck trying to out do Alonso in the mind game stakes . In fact I look forwards to seeing him try
Both VW and Audi changed CEO since deciding to enter F1. I watched a vid on youtube from 'The Race' and they where saying that some respected German media where reporting that Audi where considering pulling out. They also said that it could be that Sauber are adding pressure on Audi to invest more sooner as they need money early to enable them to be ready for 2026. It's all probably just rumour but I thought I would post it in case anyone had any more info.
Audi will no doubt kook at it in terms of market share opportunity. If you are not an F1 fan you probably will see other ways with less risk to gain the market share. Failure to be competitive could have the opposite effect on market share. Alonso to RBR would be b****ly amazing. Therefore it won't happen. RBR won't give Max a reason to jump to another team if they can avoid it. Also, really, how many years does Alonso have before his performance begins to tail off.
IMO: F1 wants 12 teams. the teams want 10 teams The teams will do everything possible to make it too costly for any prospective new teams to enter. Alpha romeo/sauber were to be audi and now this looks to be a forget it. the outgoing team wants to spend nothing for 2026 and audi don't want to start. The patently obvious solution here is Andretti buys sauber but he won't want to be located where they are.
So whiny man child doesn’t want to help his team mate get second in the Championship even though Red Bull have never had a 1-2 in the drivers standings before. Why are we not surprised?
yup. the snide remarks continue about being happy to have perez or ricciardo. he doesn't mind who's subservient to him but he won't lift one finger to help.preez in any way whatsoever.
And if it`s Danny Ric, I just can`t get out of my mind how their race finished that year in Baku. It will end in tears again and Danny will be wanting out, because there`s only one driver in that team they care about.
ricciardo has no place to go. being a loyal servant to the brat and finishing 2nd a conservative 5 seconds behind, never taking pole nor a fastest lap, never finishing ahead in and practice = podiums. the brat is such a dickhead that if you stole a point on a fastest lap he'd want you out.
It's a pretty academic question. What are RB going to do, tell Max to pull over and wait the 40 seconds Checo is usually behind him? Block Hamilton? if Perez does suddenly recapture his form, then it'll be very easy to hold second without any help. Plus Verstappen would lose the record for most dominant season if he doesn't win the last three races, so there is still something to aim for, so its not like there's nothing to play for from his side
