You know you can pull a muscle simply getting out of a chair? It's more about the person, than the training drills.
If our training was that bad, surely we'd get loads of players getting injuries rather than the same few (Cirkin, Alese, Pritch)

Matete, Evans, Pritchard, Dack and Ekwah were all injured in matches
Mayenda pulled a hammy in his first session
Not uncommon for players like Alese and Pembele to get niggles as they come back from serious injuries

Thankfully our squad is strong enough to cope

There is a lot to consider. I think the physio side of things definitely can improve however

We sign you players who simply don't have the physiological experience of playing at such an intensity. Equals more injuries.

We sign foreign players who simply don't have the physiological experience of playing at such an intensity in this league. Equals more injuries.

We sign played have talent that is more than their value but have been plagued by injuries. Equals more injury.

    Perfect storm.

Fair point but there are also plenty of our young foreign players who aren't picking up injuries.
If anything I think the club are being ultra cautious with some of these lads unlike previous regimes where we patched people up and pushed them out the door.

And our worst injuries have been Stewart, Ballard, Huggins and Cirkin tbf.

Which other foreign young lads are playing 20 games without injury?

Our squad is mostly consistently with UK talent who are familiar and can cope with the intensity.

They also are available to play the most games. Safc best and most consistent squad is UK based. That's 1-11 too.

As things stand none of them may be fit tomorrow.

We're an English team which usually picks English players, that's not unusual.

Amad played 42 games, albeit with a few knocks

Suppose the counter argument is that it's not necessarily foreign players that are picking up injuries

Cirkin has been here 3 seasons now and must have had 10 injuries
Alese 3 or 4 injuries now
    Huggins has barely played

I guess it's hard to really analyse and understand without comparisons to clubs with similar setups to ours

Final word - at least our squad is big enough not to miss some of these players that much

FFS, I'm leaving the house at 5am ...

... if the train is cancelled I'll drive, if the match is cancelled I'll deliberately crash the car <doh>

That goes back to my initial point though. Read it again. It encompasses it all.

That the market we are in and this is the risk.

    It's a risk I'm happy with tbh.

Aouchiche has come in, looks indestructible and worth much more than we paid for him.

Not every signing works out, no matter where they come from.

We'll have a cracking bunch of players out tomorrow ...

... I'm excited to be going to watch them.

    Ha'way the Lads!!!
