Less destroyed by Labour, more self-inflicted by the Tory vote staying home - something which can't be counted on for a General Election, as demonstrated by the poll you posted yesterday which didn't consider the possibility of the Tory vote staying at home and predicted the Tories to retain albeit with a reduced majority

    Mid Bedfordshire
    Tory vote in 2019: 38,692
Tory vote in 2023: 12,680 (down by 26,012)
    Labour vote in 2019: 14,028
Labour vote in 2023: 13,872 (down by 156)
Lib Dem vote in 2019: 8,171
Lib Dem vote in 2023: 9,420 (up by 1249)

    Turnout in 2019: 64,717
    Turnout in 2023: 40,720 (down by 23,997)

Compare that to Tamworth where the Tory vote once again collapsed - but in that case the Lib Dem and Green voters appear to have switched to Labour, presumably because the ballot there was a Chamber of Horrors as it managed to have The Farage/Fox Ego Platform, Britain First and UKIP all standing, which is a glowing endorsement for buying a house in Tamworth that...

    Tamworth
    Tory vote in 2019: 30,542
Tory vote in 2023: 10,403 (down by 20,139)
    Labour vote in 2019: 10,908
Labour vote in 2023: 11,719 (up by 811)
Lib Dem vote in 2019: 2,426
Lib Dem vote in 2023: 417 (down by 2,009)

    Turnout in 2019: 46,066
    Turnout in 2023: 25,586 (down by 20,480)

True. It was a **** turnout In both reflecting the general malaise, disenchantment and apathy of the UK public in politics.
Labour still managed to overturn significant Tory majorities and the impact of these defeats will hopefully further stimulate luck back by the Tories once fawning media buddies.
No, this not THE election, but still think the results will be impactful

Gillian Keegan admits to being a Tory now?

Have to ask, the leaflets she sends out in her constituency tend to omit that detail...

What really sticks out in Tamworth is that a sliver more than half of the turnout (as in 50.1% of the turnout) was between the Tories, Farage/Fox Narcissism Bandwagon, Britain First or UKIP

I get the feeling that there might be more reasons why those two pigs wanted to get away from there...

How far right do you have to be to think that Suella Braverman is left-wing?

You have to be at least Andrew Bridgen to think Braverman reads Socialist Worker

I've rarely watched Talk TV but just turned over to find Nadine doing her show, with Kevin Maguire and that famous pollster whose name I forget.

Bare in mind it was HER constituency and her own constituents have been quite vocal in calling her an absolute waste of space, she is currently arguing on her show that the reason the Tories are doing badly is because they lack the personality of Boris Johnson. <laugh> I kid you not.

It was clearly aimed at Sunak btw.

Have you noticed how the commentators talk about 'The Arab Street' ?? They don't talk about Christian Street, or the European Street do they.
Is that because the Israelis have bombed all their houses?

No, no - we have a couple of IDF troops using Google Translate pretending to be members of Hamas making it quite clear that it was the Palestinians that bombed their own houses to rubble

    PR War latest

Hmm, maybe having your president browbeat Rishi-Washy to "do something" about the BBC in full view of the world's media is the sort of thing that the media set can't turn a blind eye to...?
