It will all resolve itself over the coming months ..I could be wrong myself but we will find out... we're allowed to hold different views.

Willock and Joelinton will have to be eased back, can't see either starting in the next week coupled with Bruno on 4 yellows so yes he will be missed and look forward to this midfield quartet : Murphy,Longstaff,Miley and Anderson.

    ??

I've not commented on the thread but this is a bit of a leap.If Newcastle beat Palace at home it proves we don't miss Tonali? Don't think there's much logic to that one.

FWIW the only games we've lost this year have been Liverpool, City and Brighton away - the two teams who will likely get top two and a team who are going to have great home form. We've started well and I think that will continue irrespective of what happens to Tonali but we're vulnerable to injuries in CM and fixture congestion could be an issue. The better we do, the more we will miss him.

As for his form I find it revealing how Howe has handled him. Usually players don't get thrown in by Howe but Tonali has been, I think due to injuries in the middle. I suspect ideally Howe would have had him playing far fewer games so far, when you then add in his age and him coming from abroad it's a mark of trust or desperation that he has featured so much so far.

    Tonali was being eased in.

It's ok Mick you can have your view I just don't have much concern to lose tonali he's not impressed me much... I could be wrong but that's what I have seen... a player thats not quite right and now I think I know why.

Guimaraes was eased in, didn't play in the first game then came on as sub for a few before he started any games for us. Gordon barely played at all last season, think he started 1 game? Tonali has played 10 games for us so far this season (out of 11 i think) and started most of those. That's really not Howe's style and I'm pretty sure not how he'd have wanted to handle it. Only player I can recall that happening with from abroad was Isak and that was clearly desperation.
