Yep, I feel we missed Best today but not because Ben Arfa was positive enough. He was top class. Very exciting player and very unlucky not to score!
i find myself less upset about losing, more excited about Ben Arfa! He didn't just glide by CB's, he glided by Man City's CB's. He should have scored, and Ba should have scored from HBA's assist. Let's just agree it was 3-3.
This. Benny's technical ability is just absolutely brilliant. Can't wait for the Man United game now!
100% agree Ben Arfa was the only player who wanted the ball and wasn't hiding or scared, that reverse, disguised pass to Ba was sublime everyone thought he was going to shoot but he has got the vision, awareness to spot Ba in a better postion trick the defenders and Ba should have scored, nobody else for us on the pitch are capable, he is on another level to anyone on the pitch for us, Ben Arfa is back great performance our MOTM.
Didn't see it properly, but did he do an unbelievable turn near the end of the first half? Seemed to beat three men with a crazy twist and a nutmeg!
That reverse pass shows so much. For the 3 (ish) sub appearances, he seemed to try to take on the whole team, and ended up losing the ball. Perhaps that bit of match practise has got his head back where it was last season - he's creating, as well as doing his skills. Good game from Ben Arfa - shame about the penalty.
He was brilliant, everytime he got the ball in their half you felt something was going to happen. He'll win games on his own for us this season.
He's the king. MUCH better today than his sub appearances. Getting back to his best. Goal or 3 against the red mancs should suffice.
His Cruyff-turn on De Jong has to be up there with my favourite moment of the season so far! Although did anyone see Sammy's nut-meg down the right in the second half? Expect to see atleast a couple of NUFC highlights on Soccer AM's 'Showboat' next week.
