9th plays 10th in the Championship. Hull have only lost 2 of their 11 games but 5 draws has halted their progress. Southampton, on the other hand, are probably the most inconsistent team in the league! Hopefully we won't experiment with Che up front for this one. Back to the system against Leeds. Anyway, let's talk about football again.
Guessing that Alcaraz will be on the bench, seeing as Argentina play Peru Wednesday, unless he can cope with the flying a time change better than most. Ross Stewart is getting close, if RM is to be believed, but can’t imagine a start for him yet as I’m not sure he is with the first team squad full time. Fingers crossed that we play the more expansive way rather than the death by a 1000 passes way.

Do Hull still have the Chairman the fans hate, wanted to change their name to “Hull Tigers”. edit: he died in 2022, aged 83.
Going to this one, hoping for a draw, expecting a defeat. So far my record is Win, heavy loss, annoying loss. I thought being in the Championship would be better than PL. Still waiting for lift off. Going to get wet, disappointed, and fed up. Nothing new there then. Giving PNE a miss. Two lots of crap football in a week is too much. Onward and upward. Mustn’t grumble.
The youngster Philogene looks a real handful. Left wing I think, so hopefully KWP can do a job. EDIT: Also, if the Hull fans don't sing his name to the tune of Billie Jean, then they don't deserve promotion.
My one and only trip to Hull was in 2012 ending in a 0-2 win and as it was a Tuesday evening Jos scored. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/17349040 We were lucky that season to see Saints win quite a lot away from home on our first (and probably last) visit.
That midfield pivot with Schneiderlin and Wanyama was excellent. And Cork as well. Those were the glory days.
