Excellent performance from the team and a well-deserved win, we were just chopping and changing too much earlier in the season. Important that Iwelumo has been fit to give us a balance for the pace and movement of Sordell!
ProudScottishHornet, I've been calling for Iwelumo to start regularly all season, saw the impact he had against Burnley on the opening day!
Just goes to show the benefits of a settled side! , Skipper might have a job to get his place back! Elsewhere interesting to note that after terrific starts derby and brighton are falling away!
Like I've said before its over a season the game is played and this squad is for the season not the flash in the pan starts we've had of last couple of years. IN WFC I trust, in us armchair pundits I don't!!!!
Well I must admit when I saw him at Leicester he did not have a good game but I will take my hat off to him if he continues to progress and provide a service / diversion / foil for marvellous Marvin
I have updated the first post to show the score, late but I was out and will go again when Frú Ak has finished making chocolate cake.
Excellent stuff today, nobody had anything less than a good game, some were excellent. As an aside, there seemed to be a large number of scandinavians (danish? swedish?) in the Upper Rous today. Anybody know what that's about?
Could be the family of the rumoured Oliver Capper - the 16 yo Swedish wonder kid we were rumoured to be signing ahead of stiff competition from Rochdale
I saw Kevin Blackwell driving along Whippendell Road before the game - he was not too impressed by my greeting! I hope that idiot he is not getting involved at our club...
Great performance first half. We did the job in the second, although it has to be said that Pompey were poor. Top marks to Dyche for leaving Eustace out. He doesn't deserve to be on the bench by any stretch of the imagination, but on current form the midfield picks itself. I thought Hogg was great again today.
