not surprising really. He has everything to be a top top player. We are lucky to have him. He is also lucky to be at a club that will bring out the very best in him
He make the game look so easy it makes you wonder why other players struggle so much ... ... if two big clubs decide to really go for him the fee could be in excess of the value the last time the club was sold.
Silly money required at this point. Maybe a buy with a loan back clause to let him continue developing here.
Be very surprised if at least half our squad aren’t on the radar of other clubs, just shows how far we’ve come in the last three years.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had so many players in the England youth set up. Even Burstow - he isn’t ours but would be if our recruitment team had got their way.
I think the summer window is the bigger challenge. Should we fail to go up this year we face a massive fight to keep the likes of Clarke, Ballard, Neil and Patterson
Think he’s going to be a top player. Although I’d rather he was sent off against Boro than Neil as his inexperience didn’t help us through the game. Not his fault but we needed a “number 6” and I think we’d have faired much better had it been him!
Based on what? I still think we’ll be in a right fight to make the play-offs. We need to start stringing wins together at home.
£20m and a decent sell on and they can have him, I feel like he'd be better suited staying with us for another season at least though, still has loads to learn and seems to have an unusually mature head on his shoulders which suggests to me he can go right to the very top.
I agree. We are doing pretty well mind, and I'm happy with what I'm watching. But, though we certainly score goals, we'll still probably need a guy up top getting close to twenty, or twenty goals or so between a couple of them. Winning when we're not quite at it is a lot easier if you have one of those guys. Maybe Rusyn if he gets going or one of the others. But play offs would be another good effort IMO , as its likely to take a fair few more points than last season.
Based on what I have seen so far this season. I think we are more than capable of stringing a run of wins together and getting into the top 2. I think the 2nd half of the season will show what strength we have in depth when other clubs start fading away.
Fair enough. I hope you’re right. Leicester are a class above us and will easily take one of the top two spots IMO. I’d be delighted with another play-off chance personally.
I don’t think we will get promoted until we get our home form more consistent, but we should make the play offs, a bit higher than last season as well I hope.
I think that’ll be really tough still. So many sides in with a chance, it’s ridiculously competitive.
The league is a bit stronger than last season so I'd see us matching our 6th place finish as being an incremental improvement despite not moving up in the league standings.
