https://footballcollective.org.uk/g...ides-which-matches-are-shown-on-what-channel/ Basically Sky has first dibs of the packages on offer, a package being a day and time e.g. Saturday 12.30 - 32 matches during the season. The prime slot being Sunday 4.30 - 32 matches of which Sky has 19. “While Sky has a range of picks from first to fifth, BT Sport has to remain contented with 20 second picks and 12 fifth picks for the Saturday 12:30 slot. Amazon is a little different as they can show two match-weeks in a season. This means that they will not have the pressure of deciding which the biggest game to show is. This sort of dilemma would become a problem if the big six are all playing each-other, there are local derbies further down the table and relegation fights elsewhere.”
So does that means that if sky do not pick you up on a particular week (1st picks) then BT have 20 slots per season to grab the second best game of the week. They then have 12 sloppy 5ths pick of the dregs of what is left. So sky would be trying to pick the very best they can get for their premier sunday slot based on what the CL allows them to pick up on sunday but if someone is on saturday then the 5:30 slot comes in (see spurs v lfc on at 5:30pm) Wolves v LFC makes zero send to me to have been the 2nd pick of the week when city played at 3pm and were not shown anywhere. I could not square that unless we believe city have no fans. oh wait....
Qatar reportedly still have money set aside for taking over a Premier League club amid rumours that Liverpool are on the Middle Eastern state’s agenda. According to the Daily Mail’s Mikel Keegan, Qatar have set aside as much as $8bn (£6.5bn) to take over an English club, with news breaking recently that a deal to buy Manchester United had collapsed. As a result, Liverpool could now be on Qatar’s radar, with the Arab state still eager to follow in Saudi Arabia’s footsteps and buy one of the Premier League’s most historic sides. Well given they wouldn't just shovel another billion at the glaziers of would take it with a pinch of salt.
From the Article: "Liverpool fans must be against a potential Qatar takeover" I mean, I am, or I was... but being told I "must" be against them kinda stokes my desire to rebel. I don't know if I can be against it any more. Obviously it's all a load of nonsense anyway. Not that they definitely won't come back to us, but rather, I'm sure there's not much there as far as the story really goes. Stumbling over negotiations with United so random speculation that they're going to try and buy us. I'm sure there's not much solid with that story. They won't shift attack in two days to a new club. They'll be back at the "re-evaluating their options" stage again... and could just as easily buy Spurs or Everton, return to United or buy nobody. Also other articles on the subject all said Qatar has no hope buying Liverpool because FSG just took on a minority investor... That's a load of crap too... if Qatar offered enough to make it worth FSG's while, of course they would sell, a new minority investor isn't going to change that... that's silly... that's not the reason we're not going to be sold.
FSG has already turned down a move by the Qataris. It was reported last year that the QIA was unable to negotiate a majority share with them and so they moved their interest on to utd.
