You missed the "Van" part out. That also didn't work. No way do a team like the Falcons give up enough draft capital to get Justin Jefferson.
I don’t think any team would give up enough tbh. He is going to want QB level money so the Vikings could afford to pay him with a QB on a rookie deal (which I think is the plan) but no contender is giving up multiple firsts and then having to pay him in a year. Whether he wants to stay remains to be seen. Being on a team rebuilding may not appeal to him and he may walk after his rookie deal to a contender, most players sign at least one contract first to get paid before taking a cut to join a contender
Vikings almost gave them the win, but yeah two terrible teams. The win will be meaningless longer term, probably means they are out of the running for Caleb Williams (unless they trade up or his dad is true to his word about him not committing to the draft this year if a really **** team have first pick)
I don’t watch enough college football to know, there are others for sure and it’s meant to be a strong QB class overall. NIL has really changed things so we will see how many even bother declaring for the draft now. Caleb Williams’ dad has had a couple of interesting interviews where he has said it’s not guaranteed he will declare and might go back to college for another year at least. Also depends on his view of the Vikings as well if they were to be in position to draft him, and I doubt it will be a favourable one
Why would it not be? Would get to play in one of the best stadiums in the NFL, if not the best and playing alongside Jefferson. Getting a QB on a rookie deal would mean being able to spend money elsewhere, including extending Jefferson.
Because Minnesota is freezing and he is currently living in California (not sure if he has lived there most of his life)and the tax levels in Minnesota are very high compared to other states. The NIL rules have given far more power to college players than ever before so it will be interesting to see how it effects things
For what it's worth, I saw a Facebook post where apparently he said the five or so teams who he would play for and the Vikings were one of them. Though frankly I'm tired of hearing about Caleb Williams Also not sure I'm too keen on someone who threw three interceptions in one game https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...ojans-caleb-williams-in-bounce-back-win/live/
Ultimately who knows about any college player. The real “can’t miss” guys are very few and far between and loads with that title going into the draft end up average/**** in the NFL. It is the one argument I can see for not wanting a tanking season when you haven’t got a good team (like the Vikings now). The draft is a complete lottery but give me picks high in every round rather than mid picks any day when the team js ****. QB is ultimately the hardest position to get right though, and I agree with Williams’ dad to an extent that the whole system sets young QBs up to fail. You get drafted high and usually you go to a **** team, playing at a much higher level than you ever have before. Getting hit more and elite defenders all over the pitch (in comparison to what you have been used to) and you don’t have that much support as your team is ****. No wonder so many highly drafted QBs end up as “busts” as people demand success very quickly and they are put into a terrible environment to do it. Hence why the NIL rule change will be interesting for QBs. Shadeur Sanders (Deion’s son) is a highly regarded QB prospect and Deion said he doesn’t see the point in him going to the NFL as he can earn just as much money in college where he is elite than risk it going to the NFL where it is way harder and he might not make the grade
Be interesting to see if Max can claw it back from sixth (I mean, he probably can, but the others feel at least a lot closer). Perez still pretty awful.
Still think it's Max's to lose, but if he gets tangled up on the first lap, it should be a great race.
Drove a great race, and Lando did a stellar job too. I wonder how many times Ferrari need to screw CLC before he tells them to bugger off. Can't be too many more, surely...
