... Saturday 21st October. What a weird match this will be. Gooch in a red & white shirt playing against us, Neil not being booed by the home supporters for a change and the away fans wondering what team we'll put out. After the Boro aberration we really need a positive result to get us back on track ... ... I'm going for 2-0 but hoping for 5-0, we're capable. I'm also expecting trouble after the game so be careful down there, they have a high percentage of idiots.
Neil will have them set up and wound up not to lose. They are a poor side but with the ability to score goals. 1-1
Agreed. We can beat Stoke but only if we can get equally bang up for it. Some players will need to have big games and it would be a great time for Rusyn, Burstow or Hemir to bag a goal or two.
Could be completely different lineup. Rusyn could start, maybe Pembele with Hume going across to the left if Huggins and Cirkin are out. Pritch or Dack back in? Neil misses match so someone will come in for him.
So will Mowbray and we're a better side ... ... you'd imagine Neil would have them up for it every game but it doesn't often work. You'd think he'd have them up for Norwich but they lost. They've won half the games we have and scored half the goals.
Not really this thread but I keep seeing reports of us willing to accept £15m for Clarke. Don’t worry. Our transfer dealings have all been exceptionally well handled so far and I’m sure they must know Clarke’s ‘real’ worth. They will not sell for £15m and probably not for £30m. Look at the Ross deal for example. Some people were saying £3m yet we got a cracking deal for him. It will be the same for Clarke. Of course, he may well stay with us rather than join the likes of Burnley or Brentford. Either way, we keep him or get a huge sum. Have faith in the likes of Speakman who is doing brilliantly.
Going to this one and really looking forward to it. I think TM saying put that one in the bin will have resonated with the players and I am expecting a good response 1-3 and we may see another penalty in this one
Just trying to make arrangements to go to this one will probably get the train from Mansfield to Stoke ... ... for anyone on the train, or even car, these shuttle buses work quite well and avoid the traffic around the ground. "Alternatively park in Stoke City Centre and take the Bet365 Stadium Shuttle Bus: Robert Hardy a visiting Norwich City supporter informs me; 'We've been to watch the Canaries play at the Britannia Stadium on numerous occasions, and have tried parking at several places in the vicinity of the ground. Although there's a good choice of places to park - usually charging about £5, we've always found that getting away after the game is a total nightmare. You just seem to get stuck in never ending queue's of traffic trying to get away, and it takes an eternity to get anywhere. For a change, I tried instead using the shuttle buses from Glebe Street near Stoke Railway Station, and was well rewarded for my effort. I found a nice bit of on street parking nearby at the former PMT bus garage, walked around the corner, and paid just £3 return on the bus, which had us at the ground in about 5 minutes or so. After the game, the buses back to Stoke line up behind the Novus Stand - which is just a short walk from where the away fans are situated. From the final whistle blowing, and walking out of the ground, I was back to my car in 20 minutes. Getting out of Stoke and back onto the A500, was also completed in a matter of minutes. An absolute piece of cake, and far less hassle!'"
Thanks for this mate, going down by train with oldest lad, not been before, but know its a fair walk to ground from station, will give it a go most likely...plus gives me more drinking time before train home
Am going on a supporters bus so will be determined by their plans but can have a few beers at Red Hackle before another few beers on the bus. Good lads for away days and got my cousin and his son for company and think I may even take my Grandson to his first away day (he is 10 and gone Sunderland daft in last 2 years) I hope he enjoys the experience.
Your police mate is on the train so will most likely use the shuttle ... ... the walk to the stadium is a bit of a pain.
