Aye he buggered it up. It seems like it's an alien concept to footballers to consider looking back on their career when they're older and wishing they'd made decisions for glory rather than money. I know which would be more important to me later in life.

It was very disappointing. I would have welcomed him back at Sunderland in any capacity from coaching to popping on the pitch at half time but now, nah **** that. I'd prefer Joey Barton.
