I think every news video of ppl running in panic carrying children covered in blood will be enraging many. Btw NO way Israel are going to stick to this 24 hour notice for 1 million to move south. They've gone quiet on it after most have pointed out it's impossible.

IDF have carrried out raids inside Gaza. Their exercise was to search for rocket crews and hostages. They found drones laden with explosives concealed on rooftops.
Tell you what did surprise me about Israel is that the citizens are not allowed to carry guns, which surprises me somewhat considering they live in a volatile geographical location. Especially when Americans carry guns and they don't really need them accept protecting themselves from one another lol It appears only 2% of Israeli's have guns, I'd have thought it better to get your citizens licensed and trained up to deal with threats, otherwise when you are face to face with Hamas you are just a sitting duck, fook I'd carry a gun illegally if I had to out there, got to be better than having to wipe out a quarter of Gaza.
Depends who you give it to tbh. Most secular Israelis it might be reasonable. But 2 days ago they gave guns to the settlers to 'protect' themselves and they went into Jerusalem and started shooting Palestinians. It's kicked off since. Settlers are fundamentalists so probably not best to give it to them.

Is that the cars at the festival? Those pictures of so many all blocking everything, burnt out and shot up really brought home the scale of what happened there. They'd never need guns in cities imo. Places like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are fine because there are so many police and security forces with guns. Bit surprised the general public don't have guns though, just assumed they could if they wanted.
Yeah the ones at the festival, I thought at the time with the amount of vehicles could't they have used them like weapons, but I suppose in reality it don't work like that and you all end up blocking one another in and become trapped with some guy unloading his weapon in you.
Plus the element of surprise don't help, because you are losing vital seconds to survive just trying to work out what the fook is going on.
While normal civvies in Israel can't carry guns. The coppers can and so can Security guards. If you hire a security firm to guard your town, which they often do, they'll often come armed to the teeth.
I think that probably had a lot to do with it. I saw some dash cam footage of a car driving by some gunmen, as the first shot was fired they sped up, but then more bullets came and the car drifts to a halt. By the time people worked out what was going on it was too late
You know if you're going to give 1.1 million people 24 hours to get out of Dodge, it might be worthwhile not firing rockets at the convoy on the way. Even Pharoah waited until the Israelites had got to the Red Sea.
From what I saw it wasn't even logistically possible, because there is only one bridge to cross the river, also journalists seemed to be questioning the 24 hour timeline, like 24 hours from when precisely as there had seemed conflicting times. I see the SNP leader Yousaf has got family trapped out in Gaza, and he was saying he feels powerless to help them, he looked quite stressed over it. No one from government has been in touch with him, despite asking for help.
