I appreciate what Hamas did was brutal and needs rectified but it’s like the pin has been pulled and all carnage is happening. And I think it’s just the beginning. 300k troops on the side of Gaza which had a population of 2m in an area which is densely populated. Sounds like a massacre of epic proportions is about to happen and the world is watching. GG
Palestine (Muslim Israel) is pissed because Jewish Israel was getting cozy with Saudi. So they decided to kidnap and behead babies, because that’s the measured thing to do. Religion should be banned, then so much of this utterly disgusting **** wouldn’t exist.
Religion as such has absolutely nothing to do with the conflict. It’s similar to blaming football for hooliganism in the 1970’s and 1980’s. It’s too simple and too easy. It’s a lot more complex than that. If I was to try and simplify the issue (which then automatically means it’s too generalised) for me it’s ultimately two lots of bigots in charge of two areas both trying to ‘grow’ their empire by sending out young men and women to die on their behalf. If I have any sympathy then it’s probably on the Israeli side. They have been making some noises towards the ‘Arab’ world to reduce the tensions in the area and nothing can convince me that a mass incursion by Hamas killing women and children is justified for any reason or reasons. That being said the Israeli response does potentially look excessive but on a certain level understandable but doomed to fail in its professed aim. A permanent resolution needs fresh thought and brave men/women and sadly they don’t appear to exist at the moment.
Your simplified version in paragraph 2 sums up what religion is. It’s rich, powerful men trying to control the masses.
Save that rich, powerful men do that not because of religion but simply use religion as an excuse. If religion didn’t exist the rich powerful men would not change one iota and that for me shows that religion in reality has nothing to do with the conflict. The problem is greedy people being greedy. Of course not but that’s why there was and still is religion. As knowledge has increased around creation and the universe, religion has dwindled. Thus, the rich, powerful men now seek to control mankind through other means

I've made many of my thoughts clear there, but for me, Hamas did a stupid, evil, short minded thing, with no real end game. Israel has and will continue to react with hell fire showing no mercy. Religion. The usual. Add to that the Israeli's acting like the Nazi's. Hamas being ****s. Share the ****ing land. Act like grown ups and just live in peace. Not ****ing difficult.
Israel wants the population of Northern Gaza (approx 1.1m people) to move south, specifically, cross the Wadi Gaza river and enter the less populated Southern Gaza region, bordering Egypt. First and foremost, that's impossible, many will die especially the injured, sick and people dangerously low on supplies. But, from a strategic perspective, everyone moving across the river would be all but giving up Gaza City for Israeli annexation; slicing Gaza in half. I said when this first kicked off and Benny Netanyahu spoke at the press conference that Israel was obviously planning on either annexing or splitting up Gaza into little chunks, but just taking the entirity of Gaza City seems to be the plan, shrinking Palestinian Gaza by more than half.

It's been boiling away since the 1940s this. It's way too complicated to sum it up, but right now it's simple enough to say - it's horrible and so many innocent people are suffering in some of the most horrific ways possible. Some of the videos that have been released from the area are absolutely heartbreaking. Kids without a single chance to even live a normal life.
Hamas started it and have effectively written a cheque they can't cash and, unfortunately, Israel will finish it. Best anyone can hope for is innocents are afforded a way out now while Hamas are wiped out.
It looks like this is what is going to happen. Israel have given Palestine’s 24 hours to move south. Then it’s a case of how much damage can Israel do. This is going to be messy.
Or at least Isreal are pretending to do that. They need to be very careful going forward. I ffel they may currently have the sympathy of most non palestinian peoples but if they go for revenge then that will be lost pretty darn quickly. Giving One million people 24 hours to get out is just totally unrealistic. It's an absolute mess at present. Hopefully this may concentrate the World including the Isrealies and the Palestinians a chance to review what's going on and try to begin to address the wrongs which are going on in that area. Probably a forlorn hope but who, at the time, expected the UK Government to start talking with the IRA.
Yep messy indeed - Doomsday clock was 90 seconds to midnight when they last set it in January this year. We are certainly closer today than we were in January and it'll be really interesting to see where it's set in a few months time. If the Middle East and far East vs the West start picking sides in this and/or Russia uses it as cover for more of their war in Ukraine we are certainly getting close to WWIII and a complete cluster **** for all of us.
