Personally I have no sympathy or empathy for Hamas - neither do I have any for the state terrorism of Israel - in contrast I have lots for the people of Palestine who have been continually let down by the West who have turned a blind eye to Israel's complete disregard of International law and allowed the establishment of a huge open air prison where the majority of prisoners are kids ...

I don't disagree with you Fosse. I just feel strongly against men that think it's ok to turn up and slaughter people, and try and claim it was in the name of Palestinians, when it wasn't in my opinion. If you want to negotiate you don't carry out barbaric acts, that's the simple line to me. Now as I said to Diego earlier, if you had had this conversation with me on Friday, we would have been having a completely different conversation. I don't blame Palestinians for any of this I blame sick humans who used Gaza for their own perverse cause. I've no time for barbaric acts, history becomes null and void to me once you go down that path, Hopefully a solution will be found for the Palestinians, so they are as safe as Israeli's, as for the men of Hamas hopefully they are all dead.

I'm not bleating about it, it's just you and others don't like the same answers and repeated reminders I've been giving you since Saturday. Hamas are terrorists, we do not negotiate with terrorists. All I've heard from the otherside is bleating about history, ie excusing the terrorists in my eyes.

Israel do negotiate with Hamas. That's been part of the problem. They've exchanged kidnapped soldiers for prisoners before. It's why Hamas have kidnapped 150 ppl because they thought that's how it would work again because Israel had done it before. They're fcking wrong this time of course.

    History can be handy sometimes.

Hamas has been in charge of Gaza since 2007.

Built a lot of tunnels for themselves, not many bombshelters for their people though.

Handily place all their weapons in the middle of dense packed parts of Gaza City, or the University, or perhaps a family homes basement.

Pop over the border, behead kids, then say in interviews that they killed no citizens, if a person with an Israeli passport is in that territory, they are a combatant and deserve death. Kids are included in that statement.

Lost their fkn heads Hamas. That journalist you spoke about said it well enough @Treble

They've gone into this with the most short sighted plan ever, no thought for citizens and thought hostages would keep em safe.

They've probably made life in the West Bank harder too now.

It appears Hamas politicians, as in, the people who actually operate IN Gaza were not fully informed of these plans either and are now ****ed.

Like you said they're fcking wrong this time.

It's no good trying to pick holes in my thought process, just accept Hamas is terrorist scum. Their leaders and families do not suffer like Palestinians in Gaza, they are far away from the troubles, but they cause shhite that has now created a war on Hamas. No winners, just lots of dead people due to the barbaric acts initiated on Saturday.

Yep although he also corrected the fact that babies haven't been beheaded but that doesn't make killing innocent ppl any less monstrous. And he also pointed out that it's very likely the political wing of Hamas sat in luxury in Doha was deliberately not told what the military arm were planning from Gaza.

Not at all ... for me Hamas have scored a huge own goal with what they have done to Israeli / Jewish civilians ... they will have lost a great deal of sympathy and empathy towards the Palestinian plight (not for Hamas itself) from the free thinkers in this world who do not buy the rhetoric of government either in the US or here ...

I'm not picking holes brb, I read both your posts and largely agree. Just that they do negotiate with terrorists.

They negotiated for peace with the PLO who were also classed a terrorist organisation when they agreed the Peace Plan. In return the PLO had to renounce terrorism which they did.

The narrative I heard about the babies were killed, slit throats and some beheaded, not all, other than they were all dead. I don't think it really matters how it was done, the fact terrorists got into suburbs and started killing people in cold blood is anyones worst nightmare, it's a vile act, and talking to me about history I just can't even contemplate doing that, I see it for what it is, savages. Israel are now reacting to that savagery, it don't make it right, but it's like I've often said about Putin on here, don't go poking a bear.

Anyway I'm done for the night guys, so wish you all well, we just have different views over some of it - I'm not even suggesting I'm right, I'm just giving my thought process and maybe once it's all calmed down I can reflect, i just find that very difficult at the moment.

The footage shown tonight of the hostage taking is a bit at odds with the narrative of baby beheading ... whilst I'm still appalled by it, the footage of the lady with the 2 redhead little lads has a 'terrorist' appearing to place what looks like a reassuring arm around her ... whilst another terrorist places a scarf on the head of another woman hostage ... my fervent hope is that some involved were fathers, brothers and sons with family values and not the savage, barbaric, baby decapitators that they are being collectively portrayed as ...
