When did former Leeds and Eng-er-land full back Danny Mills morph into Mike White?....Also, recall he played for us...Top lad. TBH he's been okay for the past couple of games....whereas Swanny stays at one level, usually poor.
I don't think this is the first time that's been evident. Remember something years ago when someone on here was mocking his love of NFL or wrestling or something, and another time when someone mocked his apparently frequent use of the word "impish" and both times he quoted it later on another platform. Worth being aware of in general when writing unpleasant stuff about people.
I would have David Burns before any BBC commentator including those on the mainstream channels. (seems to know his stuff and certainly more than qualified to pass comment on Hull City).
Just seen the new Radio Humberside schedules. Seems only Kofi Smiles has kept his job. Does it also mean City fan, James Hogarth has been reduced to the one hour a day, sports programme, 6-7.00pm ?
Kofi Smiles kept on, that's a huge surprise. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
New schedule starts October 23rd and they've all gone from daytime, other than Kofi (though Fiona Mills in doing the weekend breakfast shows)... please log in to view this image
Aren’t the ones that say ‘on radio Humberside’ after their name the ones that aren’t local and are on loads of channels at once? Could be wrong, it’s just what I assumed. For what it’s worth I don’t rate Kofi as highly as some others that were shifted out.
I think it’s from 2.00pm it’s no longer local, it’s on Radio Humberside, Radio Lincolnshire and Radio York.
Yeah that’s what I thought, and why I questioned the notion that it wasn’t good value to bring Stead in. He’s only a third of a person cost.
BBC have decimated local radio , it's a real shame , surely that could have saved cost elsewhere with some of the highly paid TV presenters
Not sure it was just cost saving though was it? Seemed to start when the new Chair started, who was an interesting choice, and also there would have been easier things to cut costs on if you just went by listener numbers (ditch Radio 3 for example) Having said that they do have cost pressures due to decisions to freeze the license fee and, unless I’m mistaken, cap how much income they can generate. (Which seems weird) Those things make it look like it’s being deliberately run down? It’s almost as if local radio is difficult to control from the centre so needs cutting back so it’s influence reduces (remember the rounds of local radio Liz Truss interviews which were probably the best political interviews in a while) They claim they want to invest more in digital stuff for youngsters too though.
They've decimated radio 2 also . Kicked Paul Gambacini off pick if the pops now and put Fern Cotton on instead
Gambo has been pushed sideways and Steve Wright has taken over pick of the pops.It’s. Never been The same since Tony Blackburn was dropped during the operation yew tree bollocks which he was completely exonerated of.
It's been scrubbed from its normal Saturday 1pm slot and pushed to Sunday night . Radio 2 is now an extension of radio 1
