Hmm. Odd signing really. Played a single game in the PL for Burnley, signed for us last summer but Mowbray said he was nowhere near 1st team ready, even when we had no strikers.....
No surprise to see him leave

Yeah at 21 he really needs to find a club and nail a place down somewhere in a lower league.
Its like Josh Hawkes who we all had high hopes for, if they are not close to the first team by that age its time to move down a level. Im expecting/hoping we can move Ellis Taylor on soon aswell.

I think the club are keeping Taylor around as part of a duty of care considering what he's been through losing his parents. I don't think he has what it takes to make it here so imagine he'll move on in the summer

I didnt realise hed lost his parents. Poor lad.

Lost his Dad in May and I think he lost his Mum before then. Either way, he's had a **** time of it this year

Aye, lost his Mum last year too. ****ing horrific for a 20yo to deal with

Yeah thats absolutely awful, poor lad. I really hope he can find a club and flourish. I think most his problem has been no one knows where to play him. Hes like Jack of all trades, master of none.

No surprise. Good luck to the lad, hope he finds a decent next move.

Indeed. ****ing horrible at any age I’d imagine but that young it must be utterly devastating

Strangely Taylor is a stand out player at U21 level , yet has struggled when making the step up, he is not by any means alone in that respect, our two new centre forwards have hardly inspired confidence so far at any level , maybe Taylor can still make it here who knows, he was outstanding agaist Posh this week

I think Taylor might be a sleeper mind, some players develop a bit slower but still have a high ceiling, Stuart Pearce and Jamie Vardy spring to mind. He is scoring some very good goals at u21 level, I'd love to see him get another loan in L2 before the season is out, perhaps Harrogate or maybe even Carlisle in L1. Something closer to home where he'll get some match day experience in and around the starting lineup.

Even Gateshead given they are flying and have a few of our former under 21s in their matchday squads
