actually you're right i'm not sure of anything anymore probably more hope on my part than anything else
The two coalition parties supporting Netanyahu will be absolutely demanding the complete breakdown of Gaza. They've just cut off every single service to the area including fkn water
I thought that was a war crime, cutting off water? Well, the media were claiming so when Russia were attacking ukraines energy network
Weren't Russia bombing a nuclear plant? Dunno, bit different scenarios for me Just checked, bombing energy and water supplies to besiege territory is subject to humanitarian law. Israel however, own and operate these facilities and is essentially cutting off the tap. Gaza based energy systems and water supplies won't be bombed. That's what the difference appears to be in defining them differently No one was claiming Russian oil being turned off was a war crime.
I think all sides commit war crimes, sadly that is the nature of war and the human mentality of revenge. Israel, Hamas, Russia and yes also Ukraine will have commited war crimes. Some would rightly argue that NATO commited war crimes when it bombed parts of the old Yugoslavia, the list is too long. The problem with all this is it gets innocent people killed, people that have never commited a crime against anyone, they merely lived on part of a land that happened to be their birth place. Hamas decided to butcher a party, Israel decides to butcher Gaza in return. Ukraine hold out in a Nuclear plant, putting the whole of Europe at risk, while Russia say fook you and the risk, we are coming in. Human beings being haman beings, it's a scary thought that we seek to one day to occupy another planet. Saturday morning I didn't have the TV on, but I did go on Twitter to get some football updates, it didn't take much working out when I saw Israel and Hamas trending in the side bar to know something had kicked off. Now today as a result of that hundreds if not thousands of people are dead, all as the consequence of brave men with guns. Those men now not alive to answer their actions, instead they will rot in the earth as nature intended, no pearly gates, no afterlife, just the rotting corpses of sick humans. Now more sick humans will argue over who was right and who was wrong, while holding the cold metal to be directed at their next victim.
Yup as I said, they've all commited war crimes, I don't even need examples, we all know it happens, it's a human behaviour.
You make some fair points ... but it's funny how the US, the UK and NATO are so quick to condemn 'Palestinians' invading their own lands as 'acts of terrorism' ... where was the condemnation of the illegal (under International Law) land grabbing by Israel in the first place ... It's the blatant hypocrisy that turns my stomach ... the West has turned its back on the Palestinians and also the future for women in Afghanistan... pathetic, spineless and selfish ...
The condemnation was there like, it's undeniable that every single nation regards it as illegal and the two state policy is pretty much regarded by everyone as the only way forward. It can easily be argued that apart from some harsh words and the moving of a battleship, the US hasn't done much about Hamas crossing the border either. Mostly playing devil's advocate, but only the Arab nations surrounding Israel have said nasty things about Israel in the past few days and even then they've physically done nothing about it.
Saturdays events were terrorism. 'Terrorism, in its broadest sense, is the use of intentional violence and fear to achieve political or ideological aims.'
The definition is fair ... and a very accurate description of the original illegal occupation by Israel... territory forcibly seized under arms and illegally settled by Israelis for political and ideological aims ...
As a lad, don't think anything scared me more than those ****ing skeletons ... think it was partly because of the seemingly evil smiles they had ...
