As my post might have suggested, I haven't had a drop all weekend. The 15km I've run in the past two days must be going to my head though, what with all my anxiety.
So LR is now criticising his players for playing in the style of play he's drilled into them now for over a year......
Good to know that a 19-year-old worker at a 24-hour Maccie’s who has to deal with pissed-up arseholes shouting abuse at them because someone got their Big Mac before them is better at handling the pressure from irritated customers than our manager and players. ‘Some fans were moaning when we tried passing out from the back which puts us off ‘ **** off. People can bring up evidence of Rosenior and Seri calling out the fans as to why we’re not doing as well as we could be. I think it’s embarrassing by the pair of them to even mention it to the media. They can prove the detractors wrong by winning more games at home.
Frustrating when someone takes what you say and just decides it means something completely different isn't it
I'd love you to share your workings out. Here's mine. Under Shota last season, pts/g 1.11 equals 51 over a season which would have meant 19t. Rosenior numbers are: 2022/3: 1.36 62 13th 2023/4: 1.55 71 5th Overall 1.41 65 11th So pts/game got better under him last season, and are even better this season, so completely wrong on that one. You could say he's delivered mid-table with us (11th equivalent overall), as long as you ignore the state of things when he took over, and ignore the improvement in pts/g this season. Apart from that, spot on. This is why some argumentative types like me get annoyed some times, we're not happy clappers who think everything is perfect and improvements can't be made, but then you get over the top garbage like out points per game haven't improved under Rosenior. If I've got the stats wrong then I'll hold my hand up and apologise. But I think you need to show your workings, if there were any.
At the time I completely laughed it off and said it's nothing but typical sour grapes from players and staff that didn't get what they wanted etc. Dig back through posts if you want and you'll see I was over the moon with LR coming in etc. Has it made me look at things sooner then I maybe would.... probably, but I can see the same things happening.
Who do you work for,the U.K association of brewers? The amount of pickled heads you've drove to the pub for drink during your Sunday pontification suggests to me that I'm onto something here...
TBF I wasn't comparing his points per game to shotas, I was comparing it from his first game to now, which as you correctly point out has improved 0.19pts per game season to season, your also right I didn't work out the individual seasons, just his over all, hence why I said mid table over all, I don't think that's over the top garbage. Maybe saying his points per game from his first game to now hasn't massively improved would have been a better more accurate wording. Because as you rightly point out they have slightly improved. As I said to PLT though, what's your thoughts on the points re lack of goals scored, home from etc. Are they over the top garbage as well?
You're correct, but in certain areas I really don't see an improvement and it worries me. Someone said this to me the other day and it's been running around my head and the more I think about it the more it couldn't be a fair comment... "LR jumped into management a little to quickly and probably needed to spend some time working under a way more experienced coach/manager then WR to gain the experience and insight needed"
when I look at when we have been successful we had experience Brown had Horton. Bruce had so much knowledge. Acun expects top 10 he pretty much said that on RH Rosie is very confident individual so doesn’t need help apparently.
The other thing is, did Derby under Rooney and LR play this style of football continuingly over-playing it at the back? I'll be surprised if the answer is yes so why try an unproven system out on us. Why should we suffer the frustration of watching a trainee at work?
