Because he chose to leave after Warne was appointed. He could have continued on as an assistant as Dawson did here. Him choosing to leave doesn't mean he was sacked. But as above this is all semantics. He had a great record with derby, they wanted an experienced manager so they didn't give him the full time job. He was filling in and didn't get the job. You can spin the narrative on that either way but he's with us now so it's in the past. To say he got sacked and was **** at Derby which was the original context it was brought up was plain wrong.
He went from being an academy coach to a first-team coach to caretaker and then kept on as assistant manager. Not the same at all.
It's fine, like I said seems to be something lost in translation. It's not really the most important thing to focus on in the discussion.
Totally agree for the second quarter of the first half we totally dominated and outplayed Millwall, the whistle goes for half time the home fans are booing their team off the pitch the Millwall players go down the tunnel heads bowed looking beaten. Second half their manager changed things and they were all over us yet as Howden tigress and yourself have said it took our manager so long to do anything, That game was two points dropped we we should have won it.
There's one way to get fans onside, and that's to play with purpose, we've done that at times this season but not often enough. Of course it's okay to pass backwards if that's your only option, or the best option, but how many times this season alone have we been on the edge of the opposition box and managed to pass it backwards resulting in Ingram or Alsop getting it. We need to be braver, we need to move into space and give the player on the ball options, sadly we tend to go missing at times. It sometimes appears we are more concerned about keeping the ball at all costs then actually doing something with it. Ipswich showed us the blueprint, move the ball with pace, look forward, be brave, and find space, looking at their team would you say man for man they are more talented ? But they trust each other, and go for it, hence why they're scoring at the rate they are. I want Rosie to succeed, I really do, because it means we as a club succeed, but things need working on and fluidity needs to be found.
Go to bed Syd why are you are still posting on a work night what is it 2am Aussie time. Your anxiety needs medicating.
He didn't choose to leave at all but hey ho. Yes his record was good at derby, but it really doesn't matter what it was does it, he's here and his win record is a cat's cock hair under 30%. That's just not good enough and for him and is to succeed it needs to get better. Can he do it.... TWT
Think Fletch on comms was mentioning numerous times Rosenior screaming at the players to pass it forwards so maybe the players are just limited? McLaughlin a big culprit, highlighted in the final minute of play.
The statement from derby certainly suggested he chose to leave the club but maybe that's just Pr. Was all I had to go off so if you know better than please forgive me.
That's what an experienced manager brings to the table. Unfortunately we have a inexperienced one who doesn't have a lot of the answers yet
Wasn't it macca who played the long ball forwards for the goal.... ( or am I remembering wrong due to zero sleep )
All that exercise and fresh air I get must be causing me issues. I'll grab a beer and take your advice, cheers.
From a dead ball, yes. In general play? He was the one dawdling on it when the final whistle blew, and the one Fletch focussed on when mentioning Rosenior’s criticisms from the sideline.
As a player you don't like to hear your fans booing you off the pitch, I think the talk and changes the manager made would have got the players to pull their fingers out.
