Temple Mount is crucial for all Abrahamic doctrines , a big Jewish temple that the Romans took over & the Muslims moved in & call it a mosque now.

The Zionists really want it back .

Nut cases that want to bring about the End Times seem to believe it hinges on Temple Mount & who owns it .

 

There’s a stunning Palestinian girl who works in the pub round the corner who speaks very highly of it in between long speeches talking up the merits of Brexit.

 

I think many of the issues predate even that. It's been a region in turmoil throughout its existence.

An interesting article that suggests the Palestinian actions were a consequence of the Arab Nations being very close to a peace deal with Israel that was a Trump initiative. The Palestinians are against peace in the region.
