The squad should be able to be play pure soak + counter-attack, 10 vs 11. Leave Son near the half-way line, as he is not renowned for his defensive work + stops their back line pushing up too deep.
Always dangerous setting up to hold on to a lead at the expense of attacking creativity, 10 vs 11 or not.
Going that defensive with 15 minutes to go even with 10 men is risky. Win and you look clever. Draw or lose and it looks foolish Fine margins
