We’ve been like an old man with sciatica and a slipped disc, for years. Forgotten what ‘comfortable position’ feels like.
Not sure saying that I'm hopeful of a comfortable win is disrespectful. I've also said we might need to patient and I'm sure they'll try and make it difficult for us. That's why I also said an early goal would be lovely. Think a fast start in general is essential, need to go at them from the off with purpose and not allow them to slow the game down early.
He transferred to Chelsea, got homesick and transferred back a few months later. Had some first team starts in pre-season but, just my opinion, didn’t look as ready as Kamari Doyle and Sam Amo Ameyaw. He scored an almost identical hat trick against the bar codes for the academy. https://youtube.com/shorts/Qmz5ThPx49M?si=5LfB-dpG_pDwGlop
That felt like such a rare occurrence that the welfare of a child was put as more important than the business of football. Chelsea paid a significant fee to sign him and I’m sure he would have been paid well there. I really expected them to insist the terms were honoured and I’m sure there would have been pressure on him to try and stick it out. It’s great that everyone was willing to rip up the deal to protect TD and act in his best interests.
He scored two goals a week ago against Reading, and two more a few days later against Lyon. And he looked good for England u18s in the summer (from highlights). Seems to have a bit more physicality than Doyle and I reckon might make the step up sooner because of this. His signature move seems to be carrying the ball from halfway to the edge of the box and shooting low (like those Newcastle goals).
Sorry if you took offence none was in intended. I was trying to be humorous and implying that as saints fans we shouldn’t take anything for granted
Yeah just Che for Charly. Annoying to see Charly benched because I bet he has a spring in his step. But he's played two games in a week, and is probably worried about getting injured and missing his big call up. We should have enough to get by without him in this one. No youngsters on the bench again.
