v please log in to view this image Well after a unconvincing performance at Rotherham but managing to pick up the three points thanks to Tommy Conway two late goals, We move onto another of the favourites for promotion in Leeds Utd. This is going to be a tough place to get a result on Saturday. We have rarely picked up points here over the years. However we have still only lost once on the road to high flying and champions in waiting Leicester City. Personally think this will be our next away loss on the showings of last night and we will be making the long trek back to Bristol with 0 points. Leeds have started slowly however their momentum will improve as the season goes on and I expect them come the end to be challenging for that second automatic spot. Hopefully Bristol City can shock me and the unexpected happens-however I see this as a loss come 4.45pm on Saturday.
Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson delivers dose of reality around Tommy Conway before Leeds United Bristol City travel to Leeds United on the back of a exhilarating end to their encounter at Rotherham United decided by returning striker Tommy Conway https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-tommy-conway-leeds-8805366
I would let Tommy come back slowly.. I wouldn’t start him for this game personally.. It’s Gonna be a tough one that’s for sure, that 3 points against Rotherham was vital to our season imo.. Edit.. Lol, I’ve just now read the piece that Wiz has put up and fully agree with Nige… we think a like!!!
It’s common sense really. He’s been out a while, no point rushing him back. In fairness Nige never does, it’s not his way.
My mother's family are from Leeds I've never been there - for football or otherwise. I must make the effort one day - apparently they have a very good museum of weaponry up there.......
My son lives up there left home to go to Leeds Medical at 18 is a qualified radiologist and stayed up there with his job.-we go up quite often nice city-but strange traffic system. Lots to see and do.
Only been there once when we knocked them (they were thd current champions of England) out of the FA Cup 1-0 in a 5th round replay after a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate in 1974 I Remember the ground, the goal Donnie Gillies scored to take us through to face Liverpool and the City team coach passing us on this way home Other than that the day is a blur I was 13 years old
My great great grandfather’s generation moved to Bristol. All the family I’ve known from that side have been West Country.
Nigel Pearson open to Bristol City attacking experiment but Leeds United test will come too soon Bristol City finished the game against Rotherham United with Tommy Conway and Nahki Wells on the pitch https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/nigel-pearson-bristol-city-leeds-8810669
They’ll come at us hard right from the off Despite the win at Rotherham this is a very different proposition I can’t see it ending well for us unfortunately
