Did really well at Blackburn last year as well. You’d think he’d get more bullied in champ given isn’t the biggest but is doing a decent job.

Don’t know if ever make it here but he’s one that minimum should be selling to top champ or lower/mid table prem club for 15m plus big sell on clause.

he's tall enough but still slight.

he's passing really comes to the fore and honestly if sides can pay 40mil for a no mark and we have this guy ser I ously performing 2 years running then I'd laugh at a 15mil offer.

    but that's the market now.

such a shame he broke a metatarsal late on fornblackburn and missed our preseason

    Chambers makes England u20 squad

quansah is promoted to England u21s.

the new blokes we signed both got call ups too.

Harvey Davies is up to 11 league games and 2 Cup games for crewe

Crewe doing ok after iffy start. Conceded quite a few goals - guess means Davies been busy.

Actually watched Crewe a few weeks ago - totally forgot Davies was in goal or I’d have paid more attention to him

    extremely busy.

games and lots of them will do him good.

we wanted a gk school of excellence and now have 6. Davies, pitaluga, jaros, mrozek, hewitson, Ojrzynski.

3 are on loan. jaros did his loan in Ireland.

u21 football is basically useless for them after a certain point so they need a run like kelleher got.

and btw on the fundamentals of keeping alone I'd but half of those well ahead of kelleher.

    u18s win 7-1 v Sunderland.

there's several 16 year old in that line up too.

we've pushed a lot of 18 year old up to u21 and loaned a lot of players put to see what sinks or swims.

when klopp first arrived he said we had too many numbers and culled out at youth level.

it does look like we will need to do likellwise again at u21 level next summer.

Under 21s lost 5-2 to Blackpool in EFL trophy tonight.

Lot of names not recognising. But Musialowski seems to get quite a few goals

it's man's level football so they've never got far but it's good for them.

    the line up was

Mrozek, (was on bench for europa)
    Miles, 19 year old cb
    Nallo, 17 year old cb/lb
Pinnington, (16 year old cb, watch this one)
Davidson, 18 year old right full
Onanuga (Jonas, 75), another 17 year old cm
Pilling (Spearing, 83), 19 year old cm, versitile
    McConnell, (see preseason)
    Morrison, 18, former filthy.manc, kind of a 10
Musialowski (Pitt, 88) we all know this lad is off at end of season
Glatzel. on his 3rd comeback. we are trying to save his career tbh

it's very very young for u21 team never mind a senior match so it's a chance for them to sink or swim

watch out for pinnington is my view here. we've seen McConnell and some of the new blokes we've added but this young lad is being pushed on rapidly

Quansah only played 45 minutes - I assume with Thursday in mind.

Gordon came on as well. Not sure how long he’s been back after big injury. Was very highly rated when we got him from derby and be good if he can progress as Doak has overtaken him now.

Amara Nallo signed from West Ham

Trey Nyoni signed from Leicester. its rumoured the seniors are going mad over this lad and he's really on the fast track

Under 21s beat feyenoord tonight 3-1.

Nyoni started the game, only 16. Be interesting see what happens with him.

So its half way through the year and the baby reds have seen a lot of changes

Harvey davies played 21 games for crew then got benched which is very harsh of them plus their fans turned on the player also. A harsh lesson for a 20 year old.
Bradley has hardly had a sniff after returning from injury finally.
Quansah is now our third choice CB due to injures and is playing a big part in our season so far.
Koumetio went to franc ei nligue 2 and has a mixed bag of results. he has played 7 of the last 8 after missing squads earleir i nthe season
Chambers has not really made a break through and looks as though he's been passed by Beck now. A lona might be next.
Clark was injured for a large portion of the seaosn so missed all the developmental games here.
Morton has been key to hulls challenge in the championship but was sent off last weekend. he's only issed one game since going and played 20, scoring 2 and assisting 3 as a 6.
Doak played some games in europa and misse dsome games and has picked up another injury this time a knee.
Gordon has returned fomr long term absence and is looking to just kick on to regualr underage football.
cannonier as above. just looking for games.

Meanwhile we've now got a new list of baby reds to look to.

Scanlon has emerged for LB he will be 19 in feb
Pjnnington has jumped two age groups and is 16 playing u21.
McConnell is 19 and has made some progress as an option to go out on loan next.
Nyoni is 16 and signed form Leicester so is another project footballer for us.
Figueroa is 17 and wont be 18 til ealry next season. Another of the potential forward group
kone doherty is also 17. hes scored 6 in 7 games for the u18s and 1 in 4 for the u21s.
Of course no wunderkind list would be complete without the 16 year old Ahmed who is making his way into u18 squad currently

Our main issue is finding games for all this young players.

    fingers crossed he gets games.

Its not really a risk IF wigan are willing to actually play him.

Balagizi was not given much chance by them. they gave him the minimum sub appearances and we were going to recall anyway.

It really does raise the question of why would we turn round and lend another player to them to do the same again?

I don't want to just bash clubs but some of them really are chancers when they just grab a spare kid here and there and have no real intent to use them unless thier own player goes down.

In this case we supposedly have had a couple of championship clubs sniffing round the lad and he's gone to league 1 so you would expect that they would at least start him and see then. If he is on their bench while their regular lb starts then I'd be very seriously questioning those organising loans.

the reality here is that this lot have steven sessengnon playing lb and at LCB they were playing another yuong lad v utd.

So unless something is going to change we could well see chambers kicking his heels!

I have to be honest, he should walk into a league 1 side if he's good enough for the top league. its also up to him but if the wigan manager has pulled wool over our lot's eyes here and has scored a free squad player I will be fuming

Yeah if he can't impose himself there it doesn't look good for his top flight career.
