so? it has no powers and the red card and suspension won't be rescinded. an utter waste of time and ink and a sham to placate certain people. if your club doesn't have a howler against it that particular week you don't even know said analysis exists.
I'm all for as many outlets as possible keeping this story front and centre and in the spotlight for discussion. The more stories of refereeing incompetence the better in the hope that notice and action for improvement will be taken.
Ange showing his true Aussie self by claiming he wouldn’t have let us walk the ball in if the ref had asked last week due to the error. Everyone got suckered in by his nice friendly banter, but the guys Australian and as well know… Aussies are massive cheating ****s. Hes just a fat David Warner
I can't decide which way I'm leaning in terms of whether or not we should expect an opposing manager to agree to a goal being walked in. Bielsa did it of his own free will which I admire. If the ridiculous PGMOL rules don't allow for an error spotted in real time to be corrected in real time i.e. a legitimate goal scored seconds earlier to count, should we expect a manager to correct the official's mess for them. I'm open to arguments from both sides.
I don't think we should be expecting it to be quite honest. what we should be expecting is the officials to confess their error where the made it, right at the time they made it. if then spurs want to look like complete scumbags, let them. no issue. it's a sportsmanlike issue. either you are sporting or you are not. it's that simple.
I do see his point, but i'd like to think that Klopp would follow Bielsa's example in that situation..
100% Klopp would. I think if the referee admit a **** up and ask you to to allow the other team to score than it should be accepted. The referees aren't going to do it without good cause
I don't understand why the ref didn't go to both managers and explain and say that he was awarding the goal. What punishment could he have faced for doing the right thing? Webb stands him down for a game? Would he really do that knowing how bad that would make him (Webb) look when the whole sorry mess was revealed? Hooper has got away lightly on this specific issue, for not using common sense regardless of the idiotic protocol. A truly awful refereeing display compounded by saving his own skin first rather than honouring the spirit of the game.
Because if it's against the IFAB rules then Spurs would have cause for complaint, and if it's against the rules their complaint would be have to be upheld. Look, I know we're still sore about this, but we have to let it go. The rule is stupid, and perhaps this will highlight that stupidity and have the law changed, but that's the most we can expect from it I'm afraid.
Did Hooper even know before half-time? I'm can't remember if the VAR people told him before. If not, then it would be too late for him to go back.
Released video accompanying the VAR audio shows that 38 seconds after the disallowed goal, Robertson is taking a throw in and Hooper puts his hand on his earpiece (something is being relayed to him) and puts his whistle to his lips but then takes it out. Anyway, I didn't intend going back into the ifs, buts and maybes of the decision. I wondered what people thought of Ange saying he wouldn't have been up for a walk in.
After a full week i must say "should have been a goal lads". Never seen a goal wrongly disallowed before in my life, it's shocked me to the core and the World will never be the same
**** off @Diego we're just trying to save football and the Spurs manager is on board no matter what his actual name is.
