The mighty Gordon is obviously going to be a miss, but Joelinton will be back for this one I assume. Maybe a front 3 of Murphy, Isak and Joelinton. I was thinking a draw as well, 1-1.
Last game before the majority get a few weeks rest over the international break. Squad for me...: Pope Trippier-Lascelles-Schar-Burn Longstaff-Bruno-Tonali Almiron-Isak-Anderson Dubravka, Manquillo, Dummett, Targett, Tino, Hall, Miley, Murphy, Ritchie ....If the injured are still out (Botman, Krafth, Willock, Joelinton, Barnes, Wilson) and Gordon suspended. Could see Wilson being on the bench in place of Ritchie but with it being the last game for a few weeks would you risk it or let Wilson rest up? Okay we'd all risk it... Be buzzing to see the missing players back. It sounds like most bar Barnes and maybe Willock will be back after the international break so we should be in a good position once 5/7 above are back in the squad.
Get what you mean but I thought he was very good last night - not much service and lost the ball the few times he did get it but off the ball he worked his bollocks off and chased down everything and was crucial to the press. If Wilson is back in the squad I figure it'll be off the bench for his customary goal vs the Hammers.
Hammers are one of those sides which have a rather unfashionable manager so everyone underestimates them. Meanwhile they're neck and neck with us in the league and plodding along nicely in the Europa after just winning a European trophy This will be a tough game
Their squad is in much better shape than ours and Newcastle ran themselves into the ground this week. Definitely going to be difficult...
Nah, they're stretched as well and have injuries, and they had to play away in Germany last night. They ain't in better shape, they started the season well, but now they're slowing down a bit.
Skybet has us as favourites, and Chris Sutton predicted we'll win....he always says we'll win though, he's the inverted Lawro.
Yes a win would be amazing though top 4 would be looking not far away if they can manage this win then get a few back over the international break.
Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell both out. and Mikel Antonio didn't play last night and sounded 50/50 for the weekend according to Moyes. They started quite a strong team but managed to rest 3/4 of the "spine" of their team last night but Ward-Prowes, Bowen, Paqueta, Coufal, Alvarez and Aguerd all played a full 90 who are regular starters and we have 48 hours extra recovery.
This will be a real test but at least we should be a bit fresher. Last year we ripped them apart in midfield but Paqueta has really hit form and Moyes seems to be getting more out of Ward-Prowse than I expected. A sneaky 2-1 to us will do me. Will be on a plane from Jakarta - Doha at the time so can we please ban Roland Deschain for the length of the match. I resent using my slow internet access to download his usual match thread rants.
Bowen was a doubt as well, but apparently he's okay now. There team is okay, nothing more.they do have home advantage though....although that's actually good for us as we do well at their place.
48 hours?, they played the night after us. Are you including the fact they need to travel back from Germany? Either way I think a draw is a good result and would just about back us due to them playing away midweek.
